The reasons for the low scores on this trip were as follows:
1. Online price versus drive-through price. Screenshot #1 displays the online pricing for a pulled pork sandwich, side, and Big Yellow drink, including tax and a recycling fee of $12.83. The second screenshot shows the price paid at the drive-through of $15.14, with taxes, and without a recycling fee. I also had a Value-Pak coupon for a free pulled pork sandwich with the order of any sandwich combo meal. Online $8.99, same as on receipt, and amount discounted. The total difference of $2.31 more ordering in the drive-through versus ordering online. What would I have paid if I had ordered online for pickup?
2. Both the combo and free sandwiches had very little meat on them and were very dry. Since I don’t have recent experience with how much meat should be on a sandwich nowadays, and did not get a picture before consuming, I’ll let this one slide.
3. I don’t mind paying the $0.39 recycling fee. However, the program must not be working very well since I received both sandwiches in what appeared to be locally non-recyclable, polystyrene (PS 6) containers. Screenshot #3 shows the description of this program fee from Dicky’s website.
I’ll give the Rowlett location a try next time before writing off future visits to Dicky’s.
The cooks suggestion the beef plate, l choose the 2 meat with 2 sides instead. The macaroni and cheese typical taste, the stuffed mash potatoes very delicious.
The sausage was very flavorful and good. The top 2 pieces was very good, but the rest was tender but dry and almost warm tasting. The rolls were hot and fresh, no butter.
Place was very clean all tables cleared and stocked for customers. While l was here, 5 more groups came in.
