Heard that kids eat free here, so we went with our 2 boys. They have kids meal for free (fried rice with gyoza). We ordered 3 lunch sets. Curry and pad Thai were alright, though not very impressive. But the flat noodle soup was very disappointing. They seem not fully cooked and were hard/chewy and stick together.

I ordered a tom yum noodle soup from uber eat and it was by far the worst and the most disgusting soup I have ever had! The soup for sure was off with very strong spoiled smell not a standard tom yum smell or taste! The tofu was awful and the soup base had something rotten. Also I specified that I needed cutlery and it didn’t come at all! I am a Thai food lover and this was definitely not Thai at all!!! Disappointed and wasted my money! Terrible food service!

This may not be my first review of this location, but once again I was compelled to share my ongoing experience with this Madam Mam’s Location. The staff in general is always friendly, especially the manager. She goes to every table when/if possible and asks about the dining experience. Besides that, there is a unique, savory, semi-sweet, gratifying dish that your taste buds will not allow you to stop eating! It’s a Dark Yellow Thai Curry with Beef, Onions & Potatoes. On Madam Mam’’s Menu, this dish is Menu Item P.42–the general Thai Name for this Dish may be “Gaeng Garee”. Listen, I first ate this dish at Madam Mam’s Anderson back in 2010 & it’s just as succulent, if not more—now. This Yellow Thai Curry is a Thicker Style Gravy that is Slightly Spicy, Semisweet, Hints of Acidity and Finished with Hints of Coconut. The Beef is boneless & extremely tender. To accompany that, Medium Cuts of Onion & Potatoes with the Skin are Simmered In the Curry, which makes It a Rich and Hearty Dish that is Highly Addictive. They get and deserve 8 Stars for this dish alone. It’s served with Semi-Sticky Jasmine Rice—get Extra Rice, You’ll Need It. Thai Tea is also consistently good here, along with the Chicken Satay, Pad Thai, Lard Na with Flat Noodles; and the Brussel Sprouts. Ask for the Spice Tray with Sambal, Seranos and Siracha—wonderful Condiments.I always Dine-In, Take Away is never the same across the board, because it’s served in different containers & typically transported.

I tried their Tom Yum Chicken soup it is really good and for the main course I tried their curry menu with Jasmine rice, Stir Fried Pad Prik gang with chicken that is outstanding I will say must try item. Drunken Noodles is not upto the mark just average. Thai Gyoza Appetizer is really good.

I had the Pad Thai, Som Tum, and F11 (Guay Teaw Kua Gai), and everything was very flavorful and well cooked. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the seasoning was just right. The staff was kind and the service was quick. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious Thai food!

Very disappointed with what ended up being our first and only visit. We had high hopes for this restaurant, but the experience ultimately fell short due to how a medical allergy was handled.
Upon arrival, I clearly informed the staff that I have an oyster sauce allergy and asked whether my Pad Kee Mao could be prepared without it. Despite our server’s genuine efforts to advocate on our behalf, management ultimately refused to accommodate the request.
I fully respect culinary tradition and the importance of authenticity. However, when a guest makes a modification request due to a legitimate medical concern, not preference, I believe empathy and flexibility should take priority.
I’ve been eating Thai food my entire life and have dined at over 50 Thai restaurants in the past six years. This is only the second time I’ve encountered a refusal to accommodate an allergy-related request, which makes this experience particularly disappointing.
I want to note that our server handled the situation with professionalism and care. Unfortunately, the lack of willingness from management overshadowed what could have been a positive first impression.
Fortunately, we found a great alternative at KHON Thai Kitchen Seeda, where the staff was fantastic and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Hopefully, management can take this feedback as an opportunity to learn and improve so the restaurant can continue to succeed.

We always come here as it’s a familiar atmosphere. We’ve been coming here since 10 years ago and still enjoy the food.

I made the recommendation for my family to come eat at Madam Mam’s tonight because we recently moved to Austin and they had never eaten here before. When I previously lived in Austin, I had eaten at Madam Mam’s on numerous occasions and I always enjoyed my food and experience. Unfortunately, tonight was not the case. A member of our party has an allergy to seafood and asked for his drunken noodle be made without oyster sauce or fish sauce. This is a simple and common request that he’s made at many Thai restaurants and thus far every restaurant has been able to accommodate this request. However tonight, we were told that they could not make such accommodation and were asked to select a different item off the menu. The waitress tried multiple times to speak with the manager regarding the fact that this request is due to an allergy, and eventually even offered to try to get the manager to come speak with us herself. As we stood up to go to the front, I watched the manager look over at us walking up then immediately turn and walk into the kitchen. It was clear to us then that the manager did not care about us as customers to even have a conversation and we would not be able to enjoy our family dinner here tonight. The only reason why I am giving this review 2 stars is for the fact that our waitress was very sweet and really did her best to advocate for us. Other than that, this was a rather disappointing experience that made me regret recommending this restaurant in the first place.

Love coming back here when visiting Austin. So many memories
Friendly and fast service. The portions were generous, and all the dishes were very flavorful. I always go back to Madam Mam’s for F11 lol Guay Teaw Kua Gai with Beef is soooooo good. Stir-fried wide rice noodles are seasoned with soy sauce, garlic, and sometimes a hint of sugar, giving it a savory and slightly sweet flavor. It is served with a side of fresh lettuce for added freshness.
We also always order Som Tum (Papaya Salad); it is incredibly refreshing and packed with flavor. The combination of tangy lime, spicy chili, and savory fish sauce creates a perfect balance. The crunch of the fresh papaya and peanuts adds great texture.
