Good ambiance and unique. The bar had both bar stools and designed to also accommodate seating with regular size chairs (next time I am sitting on those chairs at the bar).
The drinks were margaritas were really good and their sangria exceptional. We order every item on the happy hour bar menu and enjoyed the food.
Overall a very good experience. We will return and hopefully when there’s live music.
Equally impressive were the bang bang shrimp. Crispy and spicy, drizzled with a creamy sauce that perfectly complements the dish, this appetizer is a must-order. It’s so good that we were tempted to order a second round!
And let’s talk about the poutine—oh my goodness! It’s a decadent blend of crispy fries topped with rich gravy and cheese curds. The combination is heavenly and makes it the perfect comfort food to share (or keep all to yourself, no judgment here!).
To wash it all down, I highly recommend their Old Fashioned. It’s expertly crafted, with just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. You can tell the mixologists at Roberto’s truly know their craft.
Now, I have to highlight our favorite server, Kat. From the moment we walked in, her warm welcome and attentive service made us feel right at home. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and made sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.
In summary, Roberto’s Real American Tavern is a gem! With delicious food, top-notch drinks, and a service experience that feels personal and welcoming, it’s the perfect spot for a fantastic night out. We will be there this Friday.
I had a loaded pizza called the Roberto Grande. I had the share size in lieu of the personal size. The share size is literally a large pizza. It was really good, although a little different from a pizza house pizza. The crust was crisp and the pizza wasn’t greasy. Often times, pizza is greasy because of cheap cheese. I also had half a dozen Buffalo Wings. They were also pretty good. The wife had fish tacos. She said they were good, but could have used some more seasoning for flavor. We split a side of shoestring French fries.
Our server Mackenzie did a wonderful job. She was friendly and attentive. There are many food options here. There is a bar here. The building is old and historic, but certainly nice.
Perhaps next time I will get the Coca-Cola Bourbon Steak Skewers…
