We enjoy happy hours and made our to Roberto’s yesterday (Monday at 3pm) for the first time. We were greeted with friendly smiles and our server (Eric) was attentive and friendly, definitely made us all feel welcomed.

Good ambiance and unique. The bar had both bar stools and designed to also accommodate seating with regular size chairs (next time I am sitting on those chairs at the bar).

The drinks were margaritas were really good and their sangria exceptional. We order every item on the happy hour bar menu and enjoyed the food.

Overall a very good experience. We will return and hopefully when there’s live music.

I usually come in to eat but got take out last night. I got pizza and I am very concerned at what was at the bottom of it …. I couldn’t even lift the slices up because it was like glued down by burnt stuff. I finally got the pizza off the paper square and it smelled like a burnt chemical.. the pizza tasted awful!!!!!! I took one bite. The spinach dip had like a Cajun seasoning all around the edge. The tortilla chips were so stale. The meal for my son- French fries and grilled cheese was okay. But I spent $45 and I couldn’t even eat it. I am so disappointed but when I called to see if they could make a different one I got “disconnected” – yeah!! Pretty crappy.

Dubai Chocolate Martini, Espresso Martini, and Mango Mojito were absolutely amazing. Our server was quick and very very nice. The Asian Noodle bowl was amazing. Great kids meals and great atmosphere. Our host Ashley was the sweetest! 10/10 recommend!

I can’t rave enough about my recent dining experience at Roberto’s Real American Tavern! If you haven’t tried their Asian ribs, you’re truly missing out. The flavor profile is simply divine—tender, smoky, and packed with just the right amount of spice. These ribs are a delightful twist on a classic that keeps you coming back for more!

Equally impressive were the bang bang shrimp. Crispy and spicy, drizzled with a creamy sauce that perfectly complements the dish, this appetizer is a must-order. It’s so good that we were tempted to order a second round!

And let’s talk about the poutine—oh my goodness! It’s a decadent blend of crispy fries topped with rich gravy and cheese curds. The combination is heavenly and makes it the perfect comfort food to share (or keep all to yourself, no judgment here!).

To wash it all down, I highly recommend their Old Fashioned. It’s expertly crafted, with just the right balance of sweetness and bitterness. You can tell the mixologists at Roberto’s truly know their craft.

Now, I have to highlight our favorite server, Kat. From the moment we walked in, her warm welcome and attentive service made us feel right at home. She was knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and made sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable.

In summary, Roberto’s Real American Tavern is a gem! With delicious food, top-notch drinks, and a service experience that feels personal and welcoming, it’s the perfect spot for a fantastic night out. We will be there this Friday.

The food is amazing! Their drinks are exceptional! They also have a great happy hour with good prices on food & drinks. The upstairs and outdoor areas are a nice touch for a different kind of scenery. My favorite drink on the menu is their Hibiscus Cosmopolitan.

Really cool and historic location. We had a large party upstairs and the service was on point. Everyone was satisfied with their meals and drinks. Really good craft beer list for sure. I had the ribs which were tender and the sauce was tasty. Great spot if your in South Windsor.

Enjoyed our group visit, great atmosphere, good food well worth a visit, prices are reasonable for the food & drink portions. I am very happy that Roberto’s remains a community favorite and that they were able to remain open throughout the pandemic and are still serving us. Chicken Nachos is the favorite go-to for the table

We went here for dinner last night and everything was great.
I had a loaded pizza called the Roberto Grande. I had the share size in lieu of the personal size. The share size is literally a large pizza. It was really good, although a little different from a pizza house pizza. The crust was crisp and the pizza wasn’t greasy. Often times, pizza is greasy because of cheap cheese. I also had half a dozen Buffalo Wings. They were also pretty good. The wife had fish tacos. She said they were good, but could have used some more seasoning for flavor. We split a side of shoestring French fries.
Our server Mackenzie did a wonderful job. She was friendly and attentive. There are many food options here. There is a bar here. The building is old and historic, but certainly nice.
Perhaps next time I will get the Coca-Cola Bourbon Steak Skewers…

This is my second time getting food from this restaurant. My food last time was plentiful and very enjoyable, however I ordered the Scallop Risotto this time, and I was sorely disappointed with the size of the portion. The food tasted good, but there were only 4 scallops which is insane for a $32 dish.

The food was delicious. Had the special butternut ravioli. And the pretzel for an appetizer. Also had a hibiscus margarita which I wasn’t a fan of. Creme brulee for dessert was to die for. It was one of the few restaurants I’ve been to, where the selection on the menu is fabulous. I couldn’t figure out what to choose from. Lots of many different rooms and areas of the restaurant to dine and chat in. There is an upstairs and a downstairs. High chairs for children with a kids menu section. Ample parking lot. Service was prompt and courteous, with a personable server. I honestly can’t wait to come back here!
