This place is a true hidden gem! I went for a friend’s anniversary and birthday celebration, and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish. The vibe was absolutely excellent, a perfect mix of hip-hop and reggae that kept the energy lively and fun all night. The DJ was completely off the chain and definitely five-star quality. The music alone made the night unforgettable.
The space itself is beautifully designed, very cute, stylish, and picture-worthy everywhere you look. It’s the kind of place where you want to take photos because every corner looks good. ✨
The drinks came out quickly and were well made, and the food was very good once it arrived. The only downside was that the food took about two hours to come out, which is definitely something to keep in mind. But honestly, the vibe was so on point that it made the wait easier to overlook.
I highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for great music, great energy, and a memorable time. Just don’t come too hungry because the kitchen may take a while, but trust me, the atmosphere makes it worth it.
The Pros:
Security is provided, plus free and valet parking.
The atmosphere is clean, spacious, and stylish.
The music was good and set a great vibe.
The food presentation was impressive, and the taste of the food was excellent—no one complained about their food.
The Cons:
Prices are on the higher side.
On a Saturday evening around 8 p.m., shortly after opening, several food and drink items were already unavailable.
The Customer Service needs improvement especially considering the pricing: our meals and drinks took over an hour to arrive, and we had to repeatedly remind staff about bringing certain items to the table. Some people in our party received their food in 30 minutes while others received their food in 45 minutes or so later on. None of us at the dinner party ate together/collectively. (Which is Preposterous) but to their credit, one of the managers, Andre, along with our waitress, (she’s in the pic below, unaware of her name) worked hard to accommodate the issues. Still, not everyone in my party was satisfied, though I appreciated their effort to make things right.
Overall: I recommend Kekoons for the atmosphere, food quality, and vibrant music. I plan to return with a smaller group to see if the service is smoother and the menu is better stocked. This is just my honest experience, so keep these points in mind when you visit. Also, hookahs were available for $80, which is Absurd.
The restaurant itself is very nice, with plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. Before we even walked in, we could hear the music from outside and already knew the vibes were going to be on point. Once inside, we were greeted by the hostess and, after a short wait, taken to our table and introduced to our waitress for the night.
Our waitress, Ginger, was absolutely beautiful and took great care of us throughout the evening shoutout to her for the excellent service.
Since it’s a restaurant and lounge, we ordered drinks and appetizers for the table. The oxtail egg rolls were our favorite definitely a must-try. The coconut bang bang shrimp wasn’t the best; it was falling apart. The salmon bombs were just okay, and the truffle fries weren’t really truffling, if you know what I mean.
The drinks were good, but the presentation and taste weren’t consistent. We ordered two rounds. I had the Watermelon Pomegranate Cosmopolitan, and my sister ordered the blueberry Don Julio mint mojito and the dragonfruit margarita. One thing to note: there are no prices on the menu, so be prepared to spend money. Drinks were around $20, and a shot was $15, which felt a bit steep considering the location isn’t beachfront.
Around 11:30 p.m. midnight, a young lady came around offering hookah service. We ordered the blueberry mint hookah for $90, but unfortunately it started getting harsh after about 15 minutes.
A quick restroom note: only one of the two toilets was working, and it had run out of toilet paper, which was disappointing especially since the place wasn’t even packed.
Overall, we had a decent time. The vibes, music, and service (especially Ginger) were highlights, but there are definitely some areas that could use improvement for the price point.
Ke’koon offers a truly exceptional dining experience. The level of service is reminiscent of Nobu in South Beach in its early days—refined, attentive, and seamless.
Sofia, our waitress, was a breath of fresh air: professional, warm, and attentive. The wine service is a beautiful touch, presented by a gentleman wearing gloves, evoking the charm of a French café in the heart of Paris.
Ke’koon is a place to discover. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Michael, the manager, goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels at home.
What truly impressed me was the attention to detail. When I made my reservation online, I specified that I have a gluten allergy. Upon arrival and giving my name, the staff was already aware and accommodated me accordingly an outstanding level of care and professionalism.
A must-visit destination for elevated Caribbean cuisine in South Florida.
It was worth the drive from South Beach.

1. My brother is vegan and I was looking forward to him trying the esco mushrooms I had from the food truck some time ago, along with the other vegan options shown online, but half the menu was greyed out as unavailable and the ordering menu did not reflect the website menu so we had to patch together some items so he could eat.
2. The rice, bammy, festival, and plantain all came out together, then we waited another 10 minutes for my salmon and then another 5-10 for my mom’s jerk shrimp penne pasta. 3. We were so HUNGRY by the time the food came we didn’t even realize that’s not what she received. It was not jerk shrimp or penne pasta.
4. We asked several people (who approached us to see if we were ok) where the grilled vegetables were and that finally came out when we were done eating. Not one grill mark on the cauliflower or carrots…they looked steamed and barely seasoned, as a Jamaican, idk Jamaicans even eat cauliflower. And why did THAT of all things take so long to come out when it honestly looked like bagged steam veg??
5. It wasn’t until we left that we realized that we also did not receive the boiled bananas that we paid for.
The veg really upset me because considering my salad had bell peppers I figured that would at least be a part of the grilled vegetables.
We didn’t even take pictures of his food because it was such a sad sight.
I understand it was carnival Sunday, however if you didn’t have the staff to satisfy the demand, close the kitchen or just say you’re solely doing wings and drinks. For our first time and all the hype? We are truly disappointed in the lackluster attention to detail as well as the poor service…but there was an automatic 18% service charge on top of a request for tip, and no one even came to take our order.
The atmosphere was nice though and the dj was good, but that’s not what we went there for. The music was a little too loud, we couldn’t communicate with each other and it was early evening..I could understand if it was later in the evening…also, no rice and peas pon a Sunday?!
Moni, thank you for your amazing hospitality—you were attentive, so pleasant, and truly the best. The food was sooo good
You helped make my birthday special—thank you!
