Not the same . Stopped in on our annual bikers trip for what q thoughts wa going to be as good as last . Not the same . Granted it was on a long weekend but this is what you work for all year, volume cash flow and restful customer service .
Food- oyster were fresh . Prime rib not so good, tough and over cooked
Atmosphere. Came in around 7:30 and it felt like they were closing on a Friday night
Atmosphere. Ok
Service – overwhelmed , slow and forgetful . dissapointing to say the least
.I may give it one more try in the future

I came in last night for dinner and the service was absolutely horrible. Our waitress was rude and had a snobby tone. She seems very disinterested in her job and it heavily affected my experience. The food itself was very good and it hasn’t turned me away as the burger I got was incredible. It was really discouraging that such delicious food was ruined by my horrible service. I don’t recall the name of our waitress though I think it started with an L but she was wearing a dark maybe purple top and she had dark hair and was shortish. Her attitude ruined the meal. I don’t tend to leave reviews but this experience was just so negative. Everything else we experienced at the restaurant from the other staff to the food was delightful and made up for the poor behavior of our waitress but she had a horrible attitude. I can’t express enough how rude she was. From her poor tone towards our table to overhearing her complain while at work. I think it’s service like that that often turns people away from restaurants that are otherwise amazing.

It was our first time here. The variety of oysters seemed nice. Our waitress was really nice and checked on us very often. My fresh oysters were good. My friend’s garlic oysters didn’t have garlic at all. The Caesar salad barely had any dressing. My husband had a burger and it was okay. Clam chowder was mediocre.

My friend had a cherry cocktail and it was good so I ordered one myself. It came in a smaller glass and when I pointed it out, the waitress just simply said “we ran out of big glasses, but the alcohol amount is the same”… so if you are okay paying the same amount of money for different sizes of drinks every time you order it, this place is for you.

It’s hard to give them one star. However, I would highly discourage any of my friends from going there, and spending their hard earned money, for such a poor experience. Kootenai County is filled with restaurants that deliver good service and delicious food. I went January 2026 with 3 friends. The server surprisingly seemed to have a little attitude right away. Example from the night: we would ask for sauce, she would walk off so abruptly to get it, before we could ask for another, then return and say with slight annoyance, “anything else?” Repeat again. We would apologize and say we needed another sauce, or whatever, for another dish. She would visibly roll her eyes. We were so nice, giving the benefit of the doubt. I politely addressed that she seemed to be having a hard night and hope it went better for her. She said other customers were rude. But we were so polite and appreciative, don’t take it out on us! Service didn’t improve. The food came out cold, soggy, but also dry, missing ingredients that are listed on the menu. We didn’t dare address it, as we weren’t treated very warmly. Just, honestly, terrible. My salad was a Costco green salad. A straight out of the package handful, with two chunks of tomatoes halves and the weirdest, most unappealing, almost slime texture, homemade dressing I’ve ever seen in my life. The cheesy bread was the only decent-ish thing. They give you the tiniest little marinara dip for that, to share! The only plus is that they let us sit and visit for a while. Not checked on or offered a drink, water, dessert. We all tipped, hoping maybe the girl was just behind on rent and stressed or something. Maybe a tip could boost her mood. But it wasn’t on the merit of the service. Cause that was quite uncomfortable. I think she could be lovely outside of work or whatever she had going on. Hope they get it together, because I really have loved Crickets and recommended them to so many friends that have visited. I hope that is not what they had gotten

This place is pretty amazing inside! I love the atmosphere and decorations inside. The service was great, and the drinks were also good. It was Moscow Mule Monday. I had the Huckleberry Mule and it did not disappoint! It was not really busy while here. It was quiet and relaxing.

My husband and I stopped in for a late night snack. After a certain time, they stop selling Calamari, but they made an exception for us. Between the Calamari and the chicken nachos, it was super good! The Manhattan was good and STRONG! Worth…. Every…. Penny! The Chocolate Decadent was really good! They weren’t kidding when they said coffee cake, it literally tastes like coffee (kinda like a mocha). The green seats was a nice touch for the atmosphere (I’m biased, my fave colour is green ). Friendly staff and amazing food! Thank you!

Only been once and I don’t know why? It was fantastic place with great food especially if like sea food. That was over 20 years so I’m sure a lot has changed but please try it and let me know.
Love to all you guys, happy dinning out.
Don’t forget to walk off dinner by strolling down town Coeur d’Alene. It’s just off the lake…what a view.

I left this review a few months ago, but it has turned itself back around and is once again one of my favorite places. Bread is fixed, pizza is awesome, and the staff is super cool. Here’s my previous review:
This place used to be awesome. I’ve been a regular but after coming here a few times lately and the new management has really screwed it up. The new menu is terrible, I have had 2 sandwiches and the bread was hard as a rock.
My jaw hurt after eating only half. I am sad to say this will no longer be a regular spot for me. The regular staff that made me a regular is unhappy and leaving. I’m not sure what’s happening, but it is not good. Hopefully the new owner after this place closes will do something good with the space. Fries were good and Savana is a great bartender.

Let me start by saying I love Coeur d’ Alene, I love seafood, and I love oysters. I’ve grown, harvested, shucked, prepared and eaten every way possible. I’ve had many kinds in many countries. The oysters at crickets are the worst I have ever had anywhere. They are not fresh, they only have one kind, they are too big for shooters, the cooked ones are undercooked, and the servers are unable to tell you much about them. I keep coming back hoping that they will be better this time, but each time is worse than the last. At a good oyster bar, the server can tell you from what kind, from what beach, when they were harvested, etc. one server told me “I don’t know what kind but we get them fresh from Washington every other week”. Red flag!! Ok, so best stay away from the raw ones and go with a cooked option to be safe, right? Oysters Rockefeller were too big, cold in the middle, smelled horrible and tasted worse. Please, for the sake of oyster bars and oyster lovers everywhere, fly in a variety of fresh appropriately sized oysters daily, educate your staff, and have them prepared by someone who loves oysters.

My husband was super excited about this place for dinner tonight. We did a half plate of oysters for starters. Those were good! Ordered calamari, the clam linguine, kids chicken strips, and then I ordered a pasta dish. When it came out, my pasta was just swimming in grease. The pasta was hot. As in spicy. Cleaned my sinuses right out. I will admit too, my Roy Rodgers drink was $4.50… each… I had three glasses of soda because my mouth was on fire from my meal. For a buck more, I could have had a mixed drink. I can’t believe my drinks totaled 13.50 and there wasn’t any booze in it… most restaurants have free refills on soda unless you’re ordering a bottled root beer. For us to eat, our bill came to $130 without a tip. We left there just “meh.” Yeah, the food was decent but I just feel like I had higher expectations for our meals for an oyster bar.
Our waitress tonight was new. First day today and she was so lovely to talk to as well as attentive. She was very sociable and just made our entire dinner pleasant.
