My husband and I finally tried this newer elevated spot and will definitely be back for another date night! We loved the decor and overall vibe. We ordered the Flash Fried Calamari, Chicken Milanese, and Applewood Smoked Bacon Pizza.

The calamari was incredibly crisp and the saffron aioli was very good. The chicken Milanese had one of the best pieces of chicken ever and the sauce was absolutely delicious. (I wish I had ordered a second to take home). The pizza had such tasty ingredients, especially the bacon. We are excited to try a different one next time!

All of the portion sizes were on point. My cosmo was very nice and pretty. My husband got a bottled Stella because he didn’t want to spend $12 on a draft beer. When I checked over the menu, I enjoyed the variety but did feel the beers were the only overpriced items.

My only real negative is about what happened with our waitress. She was very helpful and nice, but after she took our dinner order, she did not return until we were practically done eating. We could clearly hear and see her chatting it up with a couple seated at the bar, so we were in her line of sight. I didn’t feel it was appropriate to flag her down or get out of my seat, but maybe I should have. We were a bit annoyed that she didn’t notice our waters were completely empty and we wanted a second round of drinks, but so much time had passed and we were full at that point, so we didn’t order anything else.

First time at Noble Goat this past weekend …. and it won’t be the last! Great service, atmosphere, and food! The sour dough bread is heavenly and the octopus was a pleasantly delicious surprise. My main meal was the pasta with lamb and that was good too!

I will give this place two stars as the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. Overall, the food was so disappointing. We sent back the little goat cheese truffle ravioli’s as they were so salty we couldn’t eat them. The arancini was ok, it was salty and very smoky. I can appreciate the grilled chicken wings but they were again so salty and just lacking in texture. We ended up asking for the bill and leaving to go have dinner somewhere else. I wish they would have taken the ravioli’s off the bill as we didn’t eat them at all, but they didn’t. I should have pressed for it but honestly just wanted to get out of there. I think the place has so much potential but it wasn’t cutting it for us.

Started off with some delicious martinis! The One Knight in Bangkok, and the Start Your Engines! The whipped Ricotta and Sourdough bread were fresh and creamy! For entree I of course had to go with wagyu burger which met and exceeded expectations! Highly recommend as they have delicious cocktails and just as spectacular of a menu! Highly recommend and will be going back!

We were really excited to try this place but unfortunately it just missed the mark.

We got the octopus appetizer to share, and while it was plated beautifully, the taste left a lot to be desired. There was no seasoning at all and the sauce just tasted like nothing. It desperately needed some salt and citrus. It was also disappointing to pay $20 for 2 little tentacles and some romaine lettuce underneath.

The entrees were a mixed bag for us. The trout was honestly delicious and was by far the best meal we had here. The sauces mixed together well and the fish was perfectly cooked. My only complaint from this meal was that I wanted a bit more for the price.

The lamb on the other hand was not good. It once again tasted very bland. It needed salt or spices or anything.

After spending $94 on 3 dishes and only one was good I can only give 2 stars. It’s really a shame; I’ve been so excited for this place to open up and it ended up being a huge letdown.

So excited for Downingtown to have this lovely new restaurant. We loved everything from the atmosphere to the unique dishes which used many seasonal local ingredients which I always appreciate. The cheese board had great variety and quality. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the autumn risotto was flavorful with so much complex flavor. Ketlee (sp?) our server was friendly, attentive, and very helpful with recommendations. Can’t wait to come back 🙂

Noble Goat is a welcome new addition to our regular restaurant “go-to” places. We love a place where we can feel comfortable, have a pleasurable staff professionally provide conscientious service, and have a menu selection that makes you want to keep coming back to try the next thing on it! Truly one of our new favorites in the area and we hope it continues it’s fine quality standard!

My experience at the noble goat was truly incredible! The happy hour menu is absolutely perfect for some quick delicious value bites and amazing drink options! The bartender Carly is extremely attentive, delivers incredible service, and she makes the best drinks you’ll ever get the opportunity to taste! Absolutely recommend the espresso martinis without a doubt the best in Chester county hands down! The food is absolutely exquisite between the appetizers, the pizzas and the entrees there is truly something for the entire family to enjoy! Some of my favorites being the Arancini appetizer, The Wagyu cheeseburger , and the lamb and date sausage pizza. The food is upscale and so delicious for incredible value! Perfect for your family, a get together with friends, or a celebration to treat yourself and your loved ones!

We were excited to try this place after eagerly awaiting its opening, but unfortunately, our first experience fell short of expectations. I understand that new restaurants often work out kinks in the first few months, but the larger entrees lacked the excitement we were hoping for. There’s a focus on braised meats, and I’m wondering if they’re trying to compete with East Branch Brewing.

The Rigatoni Genovese, for example, was disappointing. The flavors of mushroom, white wine, and pork weren’t balanced, and the meat was overly salty and poorly integrated into the dish. The lamb shank ragú also left much to be desired—it lacked color and the cabbage, while potentially interesting, was far too salty. The slightly pickled flavor of the cabbage could have worked if the salt had been dialed back. On a brighter note, the chickpea fritters were a nice touch, but I couldn’t help but think a lamb kofta with a smear of hummus or tzatziki might have been more elegant especially with the well bodied and hearty pulled lamb. The halloumi cheese was nice but I think that could have been paired with a different cut of lamb with another chimichurri sauce or a brighter tasting dish. The pulled meats gave off a pub vibe, and the one-dimensional, salty flavor was overwhelming.

On the positive side, the sourdough bread was delightful, made in-house, and reasonably priced at $8 for three slices, though some might see it as a bit steep. Overall, the portions were acceptable, but the dishes lacked the depth and balance needed to justify the price.

The service was friendly, and our server was attentive, asking for feedback on the meals. However, a comment like “food eats first” while we took photos for our review felt unnecessary.

In the end, the bill for two entrees and bread came to around $65. While I’m open to returning for the pizza or lunch menu, I’m hesitant to order from the small platter section again given the current price-to-quality ratio. The restaurant has a chic, modern atmosphere and is in a high-traffic location, so I’m hopeful they’ll find their footing. I wish them the best as they work through these early challenges.

Good service and good food but..Ordered a gimlet and apparently they’d run out of cucumbers. Also out of Pumpkin Cheesecake. Three stars because (I’m writing as an ex-hotelier) the staff should’ve been briefed before accepting orders at a restaurant of this caliber. We weren’t given fresh silverware for the entrees and our dirty cutlery was placed on the table. Very noisy dining experience. For 300+ $, the food and service was good but not quite worth it.
