Great little diner! Hubby had a club sandwich and I had loaded potato skins. Never had skins quite this way but they were good. Hubby’s sandwich should have had one more slice of toast but it was still good. Hubby lived here in the mid to late 70’s when this restaurant was called Castles and he and his mom used to come here for meals. He enjoyed being able to eat here again.

First time visiting so here is my take! Was it good? Yes. Was it affordable? Definitely on the higher side. Was it worth it? While the food was good I’ve had better at a lower price point from other local hometown places.

First time being here. We walked in and immediately you had that flash back of simpler times or in some aspects it felt like the dinner scene in every movie I’ve ever seen. Not that was a bad thing. The staff was friendly and welcoming no problems there.

The food was good. Nothing stood out and made me want to buy dessert but then again we were never asked if we wanted any anyway. Shelled out about $105 for lunch for a family of 4 with the tip.

Everywhere I go I have to try the Chile. It was okay but more of a tomato taste than anything. A cup ran just under $7. I tried the grilled bacon chicken wrap. I don’t believe it came with sauce on it? I think that was $11 or $12 by itself. No fries or anything included. I really miss the days when fries were included but slap on another $4.29 for fries? So you near almost $20 with fries and a drink per person with whatever main item you want.

While the staff was good, the food was decent, the prices were higher. Next time I’d do take out to save some money for sure!

We’ve been coming here Sundays after church for the past month. Food is always good and great portions. You won’t leave here hungry unless by choice. A small town diner feel which we love! 3 visits and only this last one did we have discrepancy with our orders. It was fixed minus toast choice but we wont hold a peice of toast against them. Hehe, great little diner in a little town. Meat lovers omelet, grandpa’s breakfast, and the loaded breakfast bowls were very good and filling. Heard the broasted chicken is amazing. Will try that next time! See you next time Studebakers!

The food was undercooked, not fresh, condiment packages were dirty! Burger had blood coming out of it which made the bun real soggy! The BLT had only 3 pieces of crumbled bacon. Asked for know mayonnaise and they put mayo on it which ruined the whole sandwich!! The atmosphere was an old building which is fine. The service wasn’t too bad, but when leaving the building the worker had a smart remark to say(Which is not cool of her to do because it could have escalated the whole situationl)! It was $50 down the drain, not 1 of got full or ate the food! I could cry, but On my way TO BURGER KING!

Husband got ribs and really enjoyed the sauce. I got meatloaf and it was okay. I did not get the gravy. The green beans were okay. Lightly seasoned and didn’t taste like they were poured out of a can. Had a fresh taste. Mac and cheese had good flavor but was dry as I’m sure they made a huge batch. Wonderful local spot. Would definitely go back. Easy access first floor restaurant. Staff very nice.

The food was excellent and the waitress was very pleasant plus always checked to see if we needed anything or to see how the food was.

Small down diner with plenty of seating. Friendly service and good food. The best breakfast gravy we’ve ever had at a restaurant. The omelets are big and full.

Ordered breakfast for two. Portions were generous. The bacon and toast were overcooked but the eggs and pancakes were quite good. We had some difficulty getting service and coffee refills although there were several servers and few customers late morning. We will try them again- perhaps it was just an off day.

Hey there, I’ve got another Ohio culinary gem to share with you! Today, we explored the delicious offerings of Studabaker’s Country Restaurant in New Carlisle, and let me tell you, it’s a breakfast haven like no other.

I decided to dive into the breakfast skillet with home fries, and it was a revelation. The home fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a real testament to the art of potato cooking. The addition of fresh ingredients made every bite an explosion of taste. It’s one of those dishes where you just can’t resist scooping up a bit of everything with each forkful.

My wife went for the Philly cheesesteak omelet. It’s not your ordinary omelet; it’s an omelet with attitude! The generous helping of thinly sliced steak, sautéed onions, and gooey cheese brought the essence of a Philly cheesesteak sandwich right to the breakfast table. It’s savory, it’s cheesy, and it’s downright indulgent.

And let’s not forget the atmosphere. Studabaker’s has that cozy, down-home vibe that makes you feel like you’re dining with family. The friendly staff and warm ambiance make every visit a memorable one.

Overall, Studabaker’s Country Restaurant in New Carlisle is a must-visit for breakfast aficionados.

So, if you’re in the mood for a breakfast adventure that’ll tantalize your taste buds, head on over to Studabaker’s. You won’t be disappointed!!

The chicken is the best I ever had. The crust was crunchy and so flavorful. The meat was moist and tender.
