In 2002, Kono’s began in Haleiwa in the North Shore. We’ve been selling our signature Kalua pig in our Famous Breakfast Bombers, Sandwiches, and Plate lunches for 15 years. Kono’s has been voted #1 Plate Lunch, Best Breakfast, Restaurant under $29 a person, and Best Cheap eats on Oahu for the past 2 years in a row. We also cater to those with a sweet tooth, with specialty smoothies, hand-crafted milkshakes, and fresh squeezed lemon and limeades. Kono’s has built a growing following of both locals and tourists. Since our humble beginnings in Haleiwa, we have grown to a total of 4 Kono’s locations (Haleiwa, Kaimuki, Waikiki, and Kailua) across the Oahu and 1 location in Las Vegas, NV.

It’s the only place we could find quickly that served any type of American breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs. The breakfast was ok the breakfast burrito I was told was really good.

Ooh that Limeade! Sour sweet. I was surprised to see biscuits and Gravy on the menu so I decided to try ordering it. Delicious choice it proved to be! Would definitely go again. They had a lot of photos of people who got tattoos of their logo, proving its a local favorite. I didn’t know they also have restaurant ls on the mainland.

Yum! Excellent sandwich! I ordered the “Old School”, which had Kalua pork and slaw. The flavor was of the sandwich was amazing…I especially liked the rolls that they used. Beware, the birds outside were neat to watch, but they’re aggressive. This picture was taken the moment before they went for my plate.

This is a great little spot to pick up some great food. I wish I would have gotten something other than the sliders. It’s not that they were bad, they were just tiny and I was left hungry after.
We went for lunch one day and breakfast the next. The burritos as bomb. They are huge, filling and oh so tasty. Highly recommend going if you’re looking for a nice spot to chill, eat some good with the local chickens and do some shopping.

What a fantastic spot to have breakfast! Had the B.E.A.C.H. sandwich and sunrise smoothie and man were they good. The staff behind the counter were very friendly and helpful, especially the young man who was working the cash, thank you!
