A group of 5 and wanted to stay away from downtown. Put some options out and this was chosen with none of having been there before.

The food was phenomenal! Tasty, great sized portions. Nice staff (not a huge staff but we weren’t in a hurry). Full bar (beer, wine, cider, and spirits). We all bought and brought baklava home. Yum!

Bonus was trying their baklava ice cream. I’m not an ice cream fan but this was delish!

Cannot wait to go back and try something else!

My family of four went on a Thursday at 2pm and there was no wait and the service was fast. For plates to share we had the Opa saganaki which was okay. It was very lemony and there wasn’t very much to it. The feta artichoke dip though was amazing and we would recommend this to anyone dining here. This was very easy to share and was delicious. For entrees we had the traditional gyro with the he house salad. The gyro itself was big and was very filling. The salad was surprisingly filling. The heart pits chicken with sweet potato fries was good. The pierogi with farmers cheese and potato. These were phenomenal the farmers cheese was sweet and savory. Overall this was a phenomenal meal. The hearty pita in the pictures was split amount two plates which the waitress did without us asking which was very kind of her.

Service was bad, like very. Only came to my table three times. One to take my drink, one to take my order, and one to give me my check of which handed me my check while I just started eating, super unprofessional and took about 50 minutes alone to get my food just for it to be barely warm. Very big let down but the pierogis were good.

A very mid dining experience. The location is unfortunate, because gazing out at Walmart as you eat is interesting. The chicken in the sub was quite dry, and our waitress was efficient and polite but not friendly or welcoming. The pierogis were delicious, though!

The best Gyro in Traverse City, hands down. We’ve eaten Gyro from Greektown to Tarpon Springs, and this is one of the top 3 Gryo ever, anywhere!! Warm fresh flatbread and extremely fresh ingredients make this sandwich a true best in class. Also, they do something to make their fries extra crispy, some of the best fries anywhere. You get twice as much meat and veg as at the U&I, so price comparisons are not valid. Top notch quick bite!

I was on my way to Goodwill to find a pair of work pants and as I was driving there the Opa! Grill caught my eye as I went by. When I got to Goodwill I did a quick Google search to see what kind of food they had. Everything on the menu sounded good so I decided to stop in after getting my pants. I was greeted and seated at a table with a glass of ice water right away. I ended up getting the Mediterranean gyro with the Greek side salad and a side of Greek fries. All three items were amazing! I even had to order a Greek salad to-go to take back home to share. I will definitely spread the word about this place and come back the next time I’m in town. God Bless all the friendly staff and the amazing cooks!

Happy Saturday! First time at Opa Grill! I had the Gyro and my husband had the BBQ Rib Special. Both were good. The service was good as well. Cool music. Nice atmosphere. Great for a quick bite to eat.

I was in town working and found this place driving around so stopped in for lunch and I was not disappointed! Place was clean an had a family environment. Tons of great local beers. I had the Blood Orange Honey which is a wheat beer and was very refreshing. I ordered the traditional gyro and was surprised at the portion size. I was very satisfied with my dish. Menu had various Greek dishes and priced very fair. Recommend stopping in and having a couple drinks and food.

It is more of a tavern than a restaurant. The Grain Protein Bowl was excellent. The Truffle Fries were disappointing. And the Falafel was undercooked, had to send it back. However the Opa’s Opus burger was enjoyable.
