In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. Johnny made a regular TB meal a fantastic experience. He was extremely professional and polite. He checked in on our meal and ensured we were pleased with our experience overall. I rarely leave reviews but he went above and beyond, and to be honest, he really just made my day. It was apparent that this is just his character and nature when interacting with any and all customers. Thank you Sir for a wonderful meal and postive interaction!

My wife grew up in Tulsa and turned me on to Taco Bueno when my daughter went to school there. Now I will drive the 4.5 hrs to get some bean burritos. I may use the excuse of seeing my kid… but I also bought 11 burritos to bring home to KC only 5 made the trip home. SO GOOD!

I think it’s the chicken taco salad that I got, and it was great despite the amount of lettuce that was in it. My daughter liked her cheese quesadilla, and the party quesadilla that we got for our son was alright. We also tried the cheesecake churros (I believe that’s what they were) & those were amazing!! The employees weren’t too friendly, though.

If Bueno was a religion I just found the Temple. The guy at the counter made me feel as if he owned the place personally. Like he’d built it with his own hands. Clean! Wow. Flowers in the walls. The food- exceptional. This location is the Bueno holy grail. If you like Bueno this is a must stop location.

The guy who is clearly running the place currently( and I don’t think he’s a manager) is doing a fantastic job. The team inside is working together more efficiently and the whole experience of coming here has gotten better. I wish I could site the guy by name but he’s doing a great job.

Decided to takeout Bueno again after a 4 year pause and they are back to the flavor, texture, portions and quality I remember before COVID.

Who ever is managing this location on Tuesday 11/24/20 @ 5pm need to immediately be terminated!
Ordered 2 combination burritos @$3 each barely has any meat or beans on the stale tortilla, the other burritos were also puny and stale. And to top it off had to return to pick up the 4 crispy tacos the failed to put in the bag!
Poor management & will be avoiding this location from here on out!

The two woman that served me were nice and timely with taking my order. Even though I had some dairy-free accommodations for my order they got every item of my order correctly and in good time. One of my favorite fast food establishments in this neighborhood. I’ll always attend Bueno before Bell – just for the muchacos and Mexi Dip and Chips.

Every single time I come here there is something wrong with my order. Either it’s not prepared correctly or I’m missing items. This time in particular my chips from my mexi dip and chip were completely crushed. Who could look at this and think it’s acceptable to send out?
