Thank you for the lovely experience. We have visited the restaurant four times now and have completely fallen in love with it.

We particularly loved the onion soup—it is probably the best in the world—as well as the steak frites. Everything was perfect, from the amazing service of the staff to the cozy atmosphere.

Thank you again for the wonderful experience.

I showed up with a reservation that was accidentally for the wrong day, which I didn’t realize until checkin. They were able to accommodate us, on a Saturday, but at 4pm and only for 2. It’s a small place, so I recommend making a reservation (and making sure it’s correct!). The French onion soup was delicious. I ordered a side of bread, which was useful for getting the cheese. Prices were very reasonable. I agree with the inattentive service. I had to request a water after none was served beyond the first glass at seating. When we requested the bill, they gave me the check when it should have gone to the other person, no big. But when she came with the card reader, my dining companion had the cc in her hand but the server pushed the reader into my face and zoned out—I had to call her attention twice to get her to pay attention and give the reader to the other person. Then, when she brought the receipt, she gave it to me. When the lights went down for dinner service, it became very, very dark, which is typically for nyc restaurants but it was a stark contrast from the lights, so best to go during the daytime if you have vision impairments. Noise level was low until dinner service started and then it got very loud; it’s a small place. All said, I will go back.

Really loved this spot. Proper French bistro style cuisine, chilled out resturant with solid food. Service was great, food was great, what more could you ask for. One of the better meals I had in midtown and punches above its weight against far more expensive fare.

went in for a cheeky birthday date night, we opted for the 3 course meal selection and wine, it was delishh, our server was very kind and helpful with the menu. She also provided us with complimentary champagne as we were celebrating

This place was my go-to bistro back in the old days, especially with crepes and fondue. They used to have a daily dinner special. I believe it has changed owner, but the food quality is still very good. The onion soup and escargot were still amazing. I had the steak sandwich in my latest visit, those cheese with sweet onion on the meat is just delicious.

The atmosphere is exceptional, although the space is limited, it exudes a sense of serenity amidst beautiful scenery. Upon arrival, the hostess initially seated us in a confined area, but we requested a different table, which seemed to pose a challenge for her at first, though she eventually accommodated our request, and we appreciate that. Our server, who appeared to be the sole staff member attending to every table, occasionally forgot to return and provide requested items, but it was clear she was shouldering a heavy workload on a particularly busy evening. As for the cuisine, I am at a loss for words. The soup with cheese and bread did not meet my expectations. Furthermore, my burger, which I requested to be well-done, lacked the flavor of a properly cooked patty. The mussels required seasoning and fell short of expectations, But I have to say their french fries is definitely on point. Given the prices, the food should have been exceptional, but overall, the establishment boasts a unique atmosphere, and I will leave it at that.

Nice place for really good dinner and warm conversation. Ordered Butternut Squash & Bacon soup (was perfectly balanced), soups de jour (tomato taste) and gnocchi. Portions are good, food came on time and hot. Bread was tasty and served with soup. The cranberry juice was also good.

Hands down the best, most authentic French onion soup in all of Manhattan. Rich, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. The steak sandwich was equally impressive. Service was great—friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

The kind waitress recommended the creme brulee, as her favorite dessert ; It was so lovely, it had hints of orange zest, creamy texture and perfect vanilla flavor . Always listen to the staff recommendation, Oh la la ❤️ J’adore les frites,

The French onion soup is delicious!!! You must try!! The food overall was so good. The cons for why I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back due to the service. The service was slightly rude and slow.
