A new venue for me, in the bustling heart of Harfield village. It was a special occasion and therefore they were open for lunch. There normal opening time is 5pm. They have a very good website, where you are able to view the menu etc.
We were were quite a large group and we had the opportunity to book ahead of time.
The kitchen is totally halal.
The favorite amongst our group were the steaks, very generous portions. I had the prawns, served with vegetables and you can also opt of chips or a salad. About 6 large prawns,
Desert was creme brulee, and it was delicious.
An excellent hostess, even with this large group, she handled it perfectly. Thank you

I use to love this place, they do the best steaks in SA for sure. Them not being fully halaal is preventing them from being the biggest steak house in Cape town. There is no such thing as Halaah friendly unfortunately, which i now realise.

Last night we took the team for a dinner and what an amazing experience we had. I chose the venue as we’re always doing things in the North and everyone was not too keen but everyone had only good things to say, they’re still raving about the food. The steaks are tops, Janet, the waitress gave us impeccable service and the atmosphere was amazing. Compliments to the chef and the friendly staff, we will defiintely be coming back.

Family focused- with a motto of excellence- you will surely be more than pleased with their service. They will always make a plan to help you, even if you forgot to make a reservation to their busy restaurant. They accommodate every need.
I’ve visited them with my Dad, with my Sister in law, my own Sister and her big household -celebrating a birthday and with my own kids visiting from far,
The menu is excellent from starters, main course to desert.
The waiters always go the extra mile and don’t be surprised if the Shef makes a turn to your table.
Really a gem of a restaurant in Cape Town.

We were initially skeptical upon arrival – the exterior is unassuming. But from the moment we stepped inside, the friendly service and mouthwatering aromas put us at ease. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks, and the portions are incredibly generous.
Let me tell you, the food is phenomenal. It was honestly the best we had in all of Cape Town. My steak was cooked to absolute perfection, and the salad wasn’t just a plate of limp greens – it was a delightful and flavorful creation. They even have decadent milkshakes!
The Avenue is a must-try for anyone visiting Cape Town. Be sure to make a reservation, though, because this local favorite fills up fast. We will definitely be making a return visit every time we’re in town!

The Avenue Restaurant is the most amazing, friendliest restaurant around. The staff caters to your every need, superb, top class service from the point of arrival to departure. Prices are on par and the BEST place for steaks and ribs. Speak of ribs falling of the bone…. SUPERB!!!!

At last!!!! A decent steak house in Cape Town. Our steaks were tasty and cooked to perfection. Order your steak medium rare for a tender piece of meat. Soft. Juicy. Nicely rendered fat. Very cozy vibe. Awesome waitresses. Friendly staff. Very impressed all round.
