Del Taco is so much better than Taco Bell. I don’t live in Detroit and I don’t have Del Taco where I live, so anytime I see one I have to stop! I’ve had it many times in Arizona and this was my first time stopping at one in Detroit and it’s just as good as the other locations I’ve visited. This location was clean inside and out, and the food was hot and exactly as ordered. I placed a mobile order in the parking lot and my food was ready after just a couple minutes standing inside. 5/5 !!

I ordered a bean and cheese burrito with green sauce and this is what they had the audacity to serve me ! This is digusting and I know this had to be sitting out all night so I know this is a health code violation ! This establishment should be ashamed of theirselves ! Usually we’re very satisfied with the food here and come quite often. On this night we walked in, know one appeared to be around, bussers and alarms going off. Finally a person came from back room and realized the other person who should have been working was sitting doing her homework. We ordered it was Tuesday Taco night specials. I ordered the 3 crunchy del taco special, after waiting for service, I was told there was no crunchy taco shells that they take time to bake. Offeredme either soft tacos or snack tacos. I wanted crunchy so I got the snack tacos. I should have taken them back up and requested my money back. They had a terrible aftertaste, that stuck with us for hours. NEVER AGAIN! I’ve been up all night with diarrhea and extreme gas. Who doesn’t have taco shells ready on Taco night? Very dissatisfied. Might be awhile before I return here. Warning DONT GET THE SNACK TACOS!!!

I found another gem! I hadn’t eaten at a Del Taco in decades! This was a pleasant change! Everything that was ordered, was hot, fresh, made to order and tasted delicious. The staff was helpful and efficient. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. There is plenty of parking with handicap accessible parking. In the back is truck parking. Del Taco has THE BEST CHURROS ON EARTH. Make sure you order several for yourself. Their shakes and burgers are really good too. If you’ve never had a fish taco, this is a great place to try your first one. I challenge you to eat one of these churros and tell me it wasn’t great.

I ordered from del taco in allen park and it was awful.. the bean where so burnt it tasted like ashes from cigarettes. The fries where soggy like they had been sitting all day. And the burger had no flavor to it. Tacobell would have been better by a long shot. I will never order from them again.

We ordered a grilled chicken taco meal with just chicken and cheese and then another one on a soft shell with no sour cream and the man rudely said it didn’t come with sour cream. Our food was all the same as if they made the same thing 5 times with hard shells (even when they’re automatically soft on the menu) and they all had, guess what, sour cream. Every single taco was wrong and had sour cream when we asked for none. Horrible service.

I dropped by this Del Taco for lunch one day and tried the street taco combo. It came with a drink, fries, and two small tacos. The flavors were good, but the tacos were smaller than expected and hardly satisfied me. My coworker was also left feeling a bit disappointed. The flavors were still decent, however, and things seemed fresh for fast food. Service was fine. I’d say the quality was on par with or just above Taco Bell, but they have some different options.

The only good thing about this place, is the fact you can buy a taco and a cheeseburger in the same menu. Taco Bell tastes better than the food here and even at least Taco Bell doesn’t mess up orders as much as this poor excuse of a fast food restaurant does. I have been here 3 times and they have had my order wrong EVERY single time. After today, I will never be bringing my family back. We waited in the dining area for well over 15 minutes to only get half of our food (no other customers were in the building at all). Not only did we only get half our food, but half of that food was incorrect too. I told them about this mistake and I was handed two items that I am allergic too and he said to keep them as if it were a gift. There were no apologies, no one told us how much longer our food would be, and when they brought out the rest of the food, I STILL didn’t have my drink yet. After 35 minutes of being here, I was in tears from frustration because of the lack of communication that happens here. After everything, I asked them to just take off my two items that I ordered, since I didn’t end up eating these items, because it still wasn’t what I ordered. I paid over $40 worth of food and $25 worth of it, was entirely incorrect and was not eaten. I no longer wanted my food replaced, I just wanted my money back. The only thing I ate from here today was chips and guacamole and the chips bent instead of broke. Not saying the entire menu is terrible, but if you decide to come and order a taco, you’ll like the French fries the most. Don’t take someone here on a date. They will not call you back.
