Had a fish burger who wasn’t bad but it fell apart. Husband had blue cheeseburger, it fell apart. The table was so wobbly, it almost built our water.

Charming local institution. Cooked my steak perfectly and had hot sauce ready to go for my eggs. Thankful for the kind, fast and generous service. All the best to the mom’s crew.

First time stopping in Salina and at Mom’s Cafe! We were happy with our meal and service. Our waitress was super bubbly and checked in on us regularly, the food was good as well!

Great small town cafe to get breakfast! If you want a small town cafe and a hearty breakfast, this is the place. It’s right on Main Street, can’t miss it. It’s been there forever.

Is open on Sundays. Overall there aren’t a ton of options.

I’m not really into pancakes but they were so good! Light with air bubbles and great flavor, whipped butter and good syrup .

My breakfast came with 2 pancakes but I could only eat one of them. The scrambled eggs were good – so was the big piece of ham steak.

They have kid’s meals which are perfect. They loved the scone.

Service was friendly and quick. We sat in a booth.

There’s a small salad bar. Small. And it has beets. That made me laugh.

I stopped here to get some pie when I was in college and wanted to come back ever since. The ownership changed and I heard the pie isn’t as good as before, but I’m really happy with my breakfast and probably won’t eat again until dinner!

We ate here because we were waiting for our vehicle to get repaired. The restaurant is pretty dirty and dated. The waitress was very nice and friendly. It wasn’t very busy the day after Thanksgiving. The food was decent and our family ate everything. The price was a bit high as it cost my family of 6 over $80 to eat here, and that’s with 2 kid meals. We couldn’t see a ton of options on the main road in Salina, so we gave this place a try.

The food is good! Home town cooking with real mashed potatoes and amazing Utah scones-fried bread. Better than my mom cooks. Welcome and warm. I will always stop here if I am traveling on highway 89. Very nostalgia. Brings back the time when life was slower.
Support local!!!! God bless this place!

I wouldn’t eat here again. Pros: house coffee was pretty good, the service we received from our waitress was welcoming and attentive. No complaints whatsoever. The house salad was fresh, apart from the canned beets.
Cons: My biggest complaint is the Heath code violations. The door to the kitchen was wide open and from our booth, I had clear view of where the older woman was cooking the food. I watched her put bacon on the grill with her bare hands, then immediately open the refrigerator door and grab 2 slices of bread and cheese for my 7 year old daughter’s grilled cheese. I continued to watch and she never washed her hands or put on gloves the entire time we were there.
The salmon and haddock we ordered was frozen, not fresh, and the “scone” we were served was actually just fried pizza dough that had gone sour. There was nothing scone like about it.
I’m including pictures of the salmon dinner, haddock dinner, and “scone”. We were going to order desserts because they’re advertised as homemade, but after seeing their kitchen practices with the raw pork, we decided it was safer to skip it. Our bill for 3 adult entrees and one kids meal was $54, so it’s fairly reasonable, but I wouldn’t take my chances with food poisoning at this cafe.

I love the Americana charm of the place, that’s the draw for me, and hunger. Pancake’s, biscuits, gravy, bacon, eggs were delicious, coffee hot, and served with big smiles, the staff was very friendly. It was early morning, so the locals were there too getting their morning coffee and chats in and watching us strangers come through 🙂
Thank you for a nice breakfast while passing through.

Absolutely loved this place! We’re on a road-trip from Texas and the breakfast here is the BEST I’ve ever had!! The pancakes are thick and fluffy, sausage was delish, eggs tasted like farm fresh. 10/10 Will be coming back next time we’re in town!
