My third visit. The first time we stumbled upon the place-now we come on purpose whenever we are traveling anywhere nearby. So grateful to be able to count on the home cooking at Barb’s. Consistently, authentically deliciously REAL home cooking.

Perfection! I had the veggie plus bacon omelette and salmon croquette. I appreciate them for helping me talk through my desires. It’s absolutely delicious. With every bite I am even more convinced I made the right decision!

I’m so happy I finally got to eat here after always delivering by on my Amazon route. The service is top notch and the food is no different. I got half pot roast and half hamburger steak and when I tell yall. It made my day at work. This is worth driving from Columbus to get a taste of this food!

Barb’s Country Kitchen is hands-down the best breakfast spot in the area. The staff’s friendliness made me feel right at home, and their quick service and helpfulness were top-notch. Plus, the place was sparkling clean!
But let’s talk about the star of the show: the food. My Western omelet was the best I’ve ever had – perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. And that pancake? Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – pure perfection.
Seriously, if you’re anywhere near Barb’s, do yourself a favor and try their breakfast. You won’t regret it!

Barb’s was so worth veering off our route to have an incredible lunch. My husband and I picked different meats and sides and every single one was excellent. My fried chicken was fresh out of the fryer and juicy. The lima beans had the perfect amount of butter, salt and flavor. You cannot beat the price for this generous homemade meal. All of the staff were friendly and the servers checked on us several times. Delicious!

Small hidden treasure. Great food and great service. French Toast is fabulous along with the potatoes. Have only had breakfast so far but it is so good I would have a hard time getting anything else.

Meat plus three counter service. Country fried steak was delicious. Veggies a little salty. No okra (my fav), but overall quick and yummy. Everyone loved the buttermilk pie. Sweet tea was sweeeetttt. Saved to come again en route or coming back from the beach.

Pros: Food was great, inexpensive. Atmosphere had a great vibe. Best sausage patties I’ve ever had. Love the “home cooked” taste n cozy place. Loved Latoya. Great personality, helpful w all customers, friendly n smiles!
CON: Not greeted n had to ask my server her name, “Lo” didnt speak to us much or smile, she brought our food n set the check down with the food immediately n didn’t even come back. But Latoya was always around w a helpful n friendly attitude. It was not busy when we were there.

We stopped in while traveling home to Tennessee, and even at 7:30 AM the place was already buzzing—always a good sign. One customer mentioned he eats there every single day. The breakfast was excellent, truly home-cooked, and the service was just as great. And whatever you do, don’t leave without trying their homemade blueberry biscuit!

When you are greeted with a smile you know the food is going to be better. The food really was good. Barb’s is the definition of Southern comfort. You walk in, grab your tray, pick your meat and three sides, with a dessert if you want. I got the roasted chicken, collards, green beans, and yams. The roasted chicken is the BEST chicken I have ever had. It is juicy and so flavorful!! The yams were very sweet. My friend got the chicken, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes Mac and green beans with buttermilk pie. She said the Mac n cheese was superb.
I would for sure stop by here if you are in the area. It has the homey vibe with flavorful food!
Plus if people are willing to wait in a huge line you know it is good.
