Hotdogs and onion rings.
The hotdogs was disgusting like it sat in water for days and was almost white in color.
The onion rings were dark brown and hard.
The service was slow considering that’s all I ordered. About 15 minute wait.
Price was acceptable if food would have been better.
better.My impression was very low.
No
I would tell others to not go there.

Everytime we visit Purdue we always eat at dog n suds and this time is not an exception. The good is good and gives a nostalgic feeling of the years we ate here. Besides the traditional Coney Dog, also try theif breaded mushrooms. Delicious!

2/28/2024- I don’t usually do a post this quick but if you’re planning to go by here today, know this now, they
DO NOT HAVE FOOT LONG DOGS!

I saw the new owner on the news. He seems energetic and excited to own both locations. I like to support local businesses before a franchise so I came to try half off dogs.

All I’ve heard is the hype of this place having great hot dogs. I’m new here so I went. I didn’t mind having it to go due to the weather. I didn’t mind the only item half off is the hot dog.

Not having foot long dogs during your opening week is mismanagement. I feel cheated because it changed my lunch break to pick different items.

This is what $16.20 will get you. Plus according to the girl with a nose ring, lip ring and long eye lashes everyone leaves her a tip. The attitude she had was miserable so I gave her $1 for bringing my food in this weather.

My tip, is to smile. Don’t act like the customer is putting you out. They are there to buy food from your place. If you smile more your tip will at least be the usual 20% they ask. If you do not learn to smile it’s going to be a long summer if this is your only job. I say this not to hurt, but to help.

I ordered the Texas Burger they said it had their Coney sauce. All I see is mayonnaise which isn’t on the menu unless that’s the sauce. I hate Mayo. The burger is bare. If I want to eat three pieces of bread there’s a place way ahead of you.

The sauce on the dog is okay. Not my choice. In closing I don’t think I’ll go back. There are better places to eat for that amount if cost is an issue.

As for me cost becomes an issue if I get an attitude on my lunch. I don’t know what it’s like to hire kids these days but train them to be nice.

There was a nice girl wearing a gray jacket who answered my questions on the system. She’s the reason for the fair rating.

No worries. This was my last meal. Best of luck!

Great experience here today! Our lunch was cooked perfectly, and the root beer is the best around!! Service was great too, she took the time to entertain my little one while I struggled to get my payment ready which was a small thing I noticed but it went a long way. We will be back!

Old school wholesome vibes! Best Root Beer ever! Best prices for such goooood food! It’s only a drive- in experience and one of the best experiences! They are closed in winters and reopen when the weather gets warmer!

My family got the breaded tenderloin, Texas burger, foot long coney cheese with onions, onion rings, fries, Cole slaw and root beer. Everything was amazing and all 6 of us were full and happy. Highly recommend all of it.

Haven’t seen one of these places since I was a kid! Stopped in around 8:30 on a Monday night. Had the charo bacon cheeseburger basket. Super yummy! Bacon was surprisingly real bacon and not floppy chewy bacon. Fries were nice and crispy. I didn’t try the coleslaw since that’s not my cup of tea. Root beer was nice in the frozen mugs. Fresh food being close to closing. My husband had the coney burger and coney cheese fries. Coney sauce is delicious and I will have to order it when we come back. $20 bucks for 2 people is very reasonable. Read the history sign and the place has been owned by the same family for over 40 years and there are 2 now.

Place was clean and staff was friendly. Especially since we ordered a regular and a diet root beer, they didn’t tell us which one was which. We couldn’t tell, so they brought us out 2 new ones and said which was diet the 2nd time around.

We will come back when we pass through here again. Thanks for keeping a nostalgic drive in root beer stand!

A trip back in time to mid 20th century drive-in restaurants complete with car hops and window tray service! This place probably has not changed much if any since it opened. Awesome burgers, fries, milkshakes and ranking in the top 3 best draft root beer in the country! The neon lighting around the restaurant and road sign add a finishing touch to this throwback fast food experience! Whenever you are in or around West Lafayette, Indiana, you must stop by and experience this concept of dining in your vehicle for the great service, awesome food and exceptional atmosphere because there is not many of these authentic drive-in restaurants around anymore! Sonic is trying to revive these kinds of establishments but have noticed even they are experiencing tough economic times with store closures themselves. Please do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Dog ‘n Suds!

This is the second time I’ve been here and this is the second time.ive left extremely dissatisfied and upset I even spent my money here. I cant even eat half the food they gave me. Each time ive gone the food just wasn’t up to par. At all. It’s so burnt it’s crazy. The only thing that wasn’t burnt and inedible was the coney cheese dog. Like what? Why did I just pay you 16 plus dollars and leave a 2.50 tip? For what?
