Whether you’re craving a burger or a blizzard this location is always up for delivering on your expectations. Often find for us it is a better weekday stop. Weekend demands well being long lines. They do a great job on keeping the lines moving by promptly preparing and pushing out orders. But sheer volume of cars can still create long lines.
Highly recommend the cherry dipped cone for those who are looking for a little something… and loves cherry flavor. Chocolate dipped is another solid option.

We waited for 20 minutes for a dipped cone and blizzard, they handed us the wrong order, took that order back ( pretty sure they still served the ones we gave back ) then we had to wait another 5 minutes for our correct order.
This took forever and was a wasted time. The ice cream was melted and the dipped cone was completely covering the sides. Huge mess and clean up.

After a significant wait to place my order for 1 large dipped cone I pull up to recieve the smallest cone wrapped in a mass of napkins soaked in melted ice cream and chocolate. I would have been embarrassed to hand this out to a customer.

Food is great. However, I came through the drive through and was greeted with “Yes.” I said “excuse me” and there was a long pause and they the employee kind of laughed it off. I decided to go inside and talk to the manager. The manager turned out to be the person working at the drive thru.
It’s not a huge deal, but your professionalism in your interactions sets the table for expectations.
I am personally not going to eat somewhere where everyone is just goofing around all day. Having fun at work while being professional is one thing, but disregarding professionalism in pursuit of that is unacceptable.

8530 N oak tfwy KCMO. Took 5 people of family out on New Years Day for ice cream. Was told by staff to have a seat and we will bring you ice cream. After 23 minutes we are still waiting, meanwhile everyone in drive thru is getting served. After 25 minutes got handed one runny blizzard which we returned .No one got ice cream we had ordered. After a half hour demanded money back, that took another 5 minutes. Terrible service, will not be returning.

Used the drive thru to order a blizzard. Asked if they made grilled cheese sandwiches as I didn’t see one on the menu. Yes they do and the grill cheese was delicious!! The bread was really toasty, not wimpy like other places. Two types of cheese were on my sandwich. I was very, very happy.

My food was EXTREMELY greasy, I did go around 8pm but there was no one in the parking lot or drive through, everything was great but the moment that i looked at my food I could tell something was off, my chicken tasted and felt like it was undercooked, my fries were so greasy i couldn’t eat it, my boyfriends burger was greasy and gross almost like it set under a warmer for 2 hours before being served to us, his fries were also extremely greasy and chewy we didn’t even get to enjoy our food because of how disgusting it truly was. I will not ever be going back to this restaurant ever again!

I tried to give the place a couple more chances before finally complaining. I generally like Dairy Queen usually and the employees at this location are always nice. But the past 3 visits for me to this location have all included terrible food. Old fries, old burgers with non melted cheese, and super messy, overflowing ice cream, perfect for a car ride home. (Sarcasm)
These pics are from my last visit. Was in a rush so didn’t notice the food was old and reheated as it felt HOT, so I didn’t dig through the bag as I usually would. Once we got home (Not even 5 min away) it was apparent the fries were reheated in the fryer. They’re dark and very crispy, some are burnt. Burger is very tough, and the ice cream is a mess and this was after I had to ask for napkins as the lady in the drive through attempted to hand me a cup that was covered in ice cream. Like how would you not notice it’s dripping all down the side and all over your own hand??

Service was fantastic, food was hot and fresh. We are always greeted when we walk in the door. Our items were brought to us quickly.
Dairy Queen make their own ranch in house and it is the best ranch at any restaurant I’ve been to that serves fast food. So very good.

The food has always been fresh and consistent here. The staff always seems friendly and accommodating. The ice cream is cold and refreshing.
Always busy in the summertime so you need to time your visit or really be committed to the cause.
The parking is not abundant and the traffic can get a little dicey but worth the trip.
