It’s a cute little cafe! I had the Chicken Fried Steak, which was a bit under season. The breaded fish and shrimp would definitely get again! Wasn’t a fan of the waffle Overall I would try it out this place again. *Plus size friendly sitting*

Well best breakfast spot I found in my travels. Service is totally awesome and so nice an lovely. Breakfast is packed full of deliciousness an they are not shy on portions. You will get full! I’m glad we stopped in. Nxt time we’re close. I’ll make the trip to get here again.

Really good breakfast of French toast with eggs. My other family member got the chicken fried steak which was excellent. The only issues were the chairs. The seat covers are falling apart on almost every chair in the cafe. Very unsightly and a bit uncomfortable if you’re in shorts and your legs are touching torn up foam and ragged edges of vinyl. This is an easy, inexpensive fix. For the life of me, I can’t even begin to understand why they wouldn’t address this issue. Service was pretty slow even though they weren’t that busy. Staff seemed to focus A LOT of attention on the “regulars” by chatting with them endlessly while other tables go unnoticed. Little do they know that I’ve been hanging out regularly in Rockport since 1972 and I have seen plenty of restaurants come and go. With a little attention to detail, this place could be a true hidden gem.

If you want breakfast don’t go after 11 they stop . But restart breakfast at 2pm .
If you get chips and salsa it comes with the Mexican plates but other than that you have to pay if you want more salsa you have to pay for it . The fried shrimp was good . The vegetables is kinda bland needs to be a little seasoning added . The tacos were just ok needs some seasoning. The chicken fried steak was really good along with the mashed potatoes and the chicken fried chicken was good too . Really good sweet tea . Vegetable soup was good .

Went for breakfast on Sunday morning. The food looked great but was unable to sample any as the wait staff was horrid. We were told to take a seat and after 15 minutes of being completely ignored by the staff, we got up and left. The restaurant was only half full and the waitresses were bussing tables and chatting with each other rather than servicing their waiting clients. Absolutely will not be returning. We went to Arandas instead where we had excellent service and great food.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch, closes after lunch, the Bakery Cafe in AP stays open until 8 I believe, both close one day a week on a different day. Rockport location has wood walls and ceiling, giving it an open, rustic look similar to a cabin. The interior and folks working there give the place a warm, welcoming feeling. Prices are fair, they usually have a few specials on white board for under $10, turkey and dressing is on Wed and is very good. The Beef Cutlet w/ brown gravy (also pictured here) is one of my favorites. Rockport is fortunate to have 3 ‘cafe/diner’ style restaurants, all open for breakfast and lunch only, all 3 are good, I eat at all of them but Bakery Cafe is my personal favorite.

This place was, “meh”, not even at the level of okay. The staff seemed grumpy, and not welcoming. The food was mediocre, I’ve had a better waffle at a hotel free breakfast. My wife complained about the number of flies near our booth, but no one cared. If you have a chance to dine at the Bakery Cafe…miss it.
