We were seated immediately (about 5:30pm) by Salvatore, who was the front end manager. He was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Our waiter Alex soon came by and explained the menu and gave us the specials. We decided to get a glass of wine (Moscato), which was good.
The good wife decided to order a calamari appetizer, which she pronounced the best she’d ever had. I don’t like it, so I’ll take her word!
I got the sausage pizza, she got a seafood plate with more calamari, shrimp, and clams. The pizza was very good..fresh sauce and tasty sausage without being too spicy. Her seafood dish was very good, although she said the white sauce could have been a little thicker.
We decided to share dessert, chocolate mousse cake, which was very good, but not the best I’ve ever had. Cherries or raspberries really would have complimented the cake well, but alas, none to be found.
The service was excellent.. Alex was attentive, and Salvatore and another manager stopped by twice each to ensure everything was to ourliking. All this without being overbearing, which is a feat sometimes.
With the appetizer, wine, and dessert, we spent around $50 each…not unreasonable. There was a live musician, but he was on the other side of the restaurant and we couldn’t hear him very well.
All in all a great experience… Definitely recommended.
I had the balsamic salmon and it was absolutely phenomenal. It was cooked perfectly with a beautifully balanced balsamic glaze that added so much flavor without overpowering the dish.
We also ordered the pesto tortellini, the Alfredo tortellini, and the chicken Marsala, and every single dish was a standout. The pesto tortellini was amazing! The Alfredo was rich and creamy without being too heavy, and the chicken Marsala was incredibly tender with a sauce that was full of depth and flavor.
I truly couldn’t recommend this place more. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. We’ll definitely be back.
Food: Food was ok. Garlic knots were good. We did not know the meal came with bread or we wouldn’t have ordered the garlic knots. But they were good. One kiddo got the chicken parm. Looked good and taste was a little bland but great for kids. Penne Pasta was cooked well but the red sauce has a little spice bit to it. Kids didn’t like the red sauce. Other kiddo got buttered noodles. Hefty portion of spaghetti noodles with butter. Kiddo liked it. One adult got the Osso Bucco; was good and tender.
Very large bone. Vegetables needed to be cooked longer. Came with risotto but not enough. Seemed like only half a scoop. The other adult ordered the Salmon with mashed potatoes and penne pasta. Fish was very well cooked. I’m not a big fan of the balsamic glaze. Perhaps it was just too much for me. Mashed potatoes were delicious. Penne pasta was good but has the bit at the end. Drinks were made well!!
Service: we were sat quickly since we choose to sit inside. Raphael was our server and a nice guy. Attentive, friendly, and attentive. The manager , John, came by to check on us as well. Very well done.
Atmosphere: very cool atmosphere and upscale vibe, but no need to be dressed up. The restaurant got busier as time went on. Then the live indoor entertainment started. The live singer played a great selection of music and got folks dancing! Although it was quite loud after the music began. It was hard to carry a conversation.
Overall it was a good place to get dinner or lunch and then enjoy some music in the town center.
