Great local spot on main street in Liberty. Friendly. Nostalgic decor. Many old world feels inside such as the ice cream offerings. Just good food and clean place to stop at. Give it a try. I don’t think you can go wrong here.

We stopped in Liberty on our way home from a road trip and this place had great reviews so we decided to pop in. I think it may be the best burgers we’ve ever had in our lives. I may have shed a tear of joy. Perfectly seasoned, bread was hot and fresh and held it all together perfectly. I’ll dream of this burger until I come back to Texas.

My husband and I stopped in at Jax Hamburgers when passing through and we had the Big Dirty Burger and a side of Onion Rings. The burger was top notch and we will definitely get it again when in the area. The onion rings were hand cut and battered and some of the best I have ever had! I highly recommend Jax Hamburgers for wonderful made-to-order food and look forward to our next visit there.

It was dead there, but it was probably because of the hour I came at the exact right time ! Burger bun was soft and held the hamburger in its place. Will definitely bring the family if I’m ever in liberty I mean like if I’m ever in liberty.

Great place. It’s definitely worth the trip. My husband loved his burger, fries and onion rings. My chicken salad salad was delicious. The place was clean. The staff was friendly. Prices were on par.

We headed to Liberty for Friday Night Lights from Orange and settled on Jax since the boys wanted burgers!
We waited a few minutes in line to ordered and picked up at the counter when our named was called. They had a nice salad bar and everything you needed was self serve at the bar.
It only took about 15 minutes to get our food after ordering. I had the fried fish and coleslaw. It was a cornmeal type batter and tasted very fresh and coleslaw was very good too.
The boys ended up ordering the grilled cheese and corn dog. ♀️ They said everything was delicious and enjoyed the crispy wedge french fries.
We took advantage of the ice cream selection too (eight flavors) and it was delicious. One had the Superman (vanilla with food coloring) and two had the strawberry.
I would highly recommend Jax if you are in Liberty, Texas. The ladies working had been busy all afternoon with Bears fans coming into town and they were polite and helpful.

Food was fine, staff was polite. We didn’t order burgers and felt the food was fine but nothing special. I had chicken fried steak and it was an average cfs, but my fries came out room temp. Wife had a deli sandwich and said it was good. We came around 2pm during the week and about half the tables had previous customers plates still there, would be nice if they were cleaned up more often.

Always great food served and prepared by a very friendly staff! It’s a popular establishment in downtown Liberty, located right in the old town Square which to me gives it that good ole hometown feeling before I even walk in.
Come on in, choose your grub and tell it to the cashier and in just a matter of minutes they’ll holler your name to pick it up.

Good food but the restaurants cleanliness seems to be getting worse? I usually order a burger which is always nice. Toppings bar is a nice touch so I can build it like I want. Onion rings were pretty good…I see they have expanded the hot sandwich menu! I’ll be keeping an eye on how they maintain the place.
