This was a good spot for breakfast. The weekly specials were a great value. I had 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon for just over $6. Service was a bit slow but kind. They were busy on a weekday morning. I’d go back again.

The Pit Grill surprised me. I usually don’t eat at many breakfast places but glad I did. The staff was friendly, helped me pick out something I really liked. I tried the Western Omelette with Pancakes. The thing I liked about the Pit Grill was that the pancakes are included with the main dish. I’ve been to some places where they charge you extra for pancakes because the main meal only comes with biscuits or toast. Prices aren’t ridiculous either.

First time back in my home state after 11 years and I got Pitt Grill around midnight. The fries were not cooked and the burger was not how I ordered. This is not the great southern cooking I used to know. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I appreciate the kind staff, but after a decade of not having southern food, this was simply a disappointment. Not asking for a gourmet meal, but at least cook the food and give me what I order at minimum.

Stopped in on a whim and it did not disappoint. Came for breakfast and the food was really good. Service was fast and had clean bathrooms. Would stop by again if I was in the area!

A lot of customers were ordering breakfast for supper. I, however, had a cheeseburger and Sweet potato fries. They even had honey mustard dipping sauce for my fries. The bun was amazing! It was more like a roll. So soft and definitely delicious

This place kind of reminds me of the waffle house. The food here is better than the waffle house.
I have only eaten at the waffle house once, but I would eat here again and again.
Our server from Tunk’s told us this is the breakfast place in Alexandria. This place didn’t disappoint, and the food came out hot and fast.
It’s a little honky-tonk for me, and that’s why the atmosphere rating is low. Everything else is amazing… especially the food!!!

The food was good and I tried a variety (pancakes, french toast eggs, hash browns, etc). The service was lacking real bad. The original waitress who took my order disappeared. I had to get up and seek service from another waitress, who was very pleasant. She made up for the lack of the original service rep. She was awesome.

This morning I went to this establishment for breakfast. Worst $16 i ever spent. Don’t get me wrong my food was decent but the customer service was horrible. I ordered the southern breakfast. It came with 3 strips or bacon, two eggs grits and pancakes. When receiving my breakfast the waitress said your pancakes will be up shortly. Cool! 20 miners done passed still no pancakes. Halfway through my breakfast the waitress brings at ticket, I said I never received my pancakes and my food is cold now. She went to the window and told the cook that I never received my cakes. He responded ( tell him it’s gonna be ten minutes on them. The waitress came and related the message and I told her I don’t want them now cause I been waiting on the for over 20 mines now and my food is cold. So I asked what could she do with the price because I never received my cakes the manager came out and adjusted my ticket from $16 to $14.38. Didn’t even give me the price of cakes off . She literally gave me less than $2 off. Explained to her that it’s not bout the money but damn give me a brave because I been waiting for my cakes now 30 minutes and this the best u can do. On pissed value customer

Came here for the first time after church…and I will Never return.
The waiting staff is awesome. The food? Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
Too Expensive for The Lowest Quality processed foods!
I had the country breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausge links. The eggs were very dry and cold–not edible. The grits were okay, but…they serve entirely too much of it.
My breakfast companion enjoyed his “pile” order and ate it up like he was starving. We both were VERY hungry, but I will not subject myself to eating food just to make a happy plate. Lol Oh…the hash browns and orange juice were okay and kept my hunger pains at bay.
The food I ordered is dog food. At least Queen, the family dog, will get to enjoy something outside of her regular dog food. It’s a delicacy for animals…but Not for humans who know what good food tastes like.
My taste buds may be spoiled, and I am sure yours are, too, if you haven’t been incarcerated for decades.
I won’t be returning here.

I came across this little restaurant along the road by chance while looking for breakfast besides McDonalds while in Alexandria for a doctor’s appointment for my daughter. I must say after arriving I found it very clean inside and there was plenty of seating. After a very short bit ..my daughter and I were greeted by our very friendly waitress “Jenny”.. I ordered coffee for myself and a coke for my daughter then ordered my daughter the Kids Menu Shorty which was a double stack pancake and sausage link.. I ordered a house special which had 2 sausage links, 2 eggs and 2 biscuit smothered in white gravy along with 2 extra sausage patties.. the food arrived very quickly and I have to say it was some of the best home cooking breakfast on the road… If you are driving by or staying in the area for any time.. I Highly Recommend this place to stop and eat..They have breakfast and a lunch/dinner menu available…KUDOS Pitt Grill
Update for 6-14-24 My daughter and I stopped by for a 2nd round from the first.. the food was still good and prepared as ordered.. but the waitress we had seemed a bit pre occupied.. We were ready to order as soon as we sat down..but was told we had to wait in the order others sat down first and wasn’t ready to order..so we had to wait even though we had a doctors appointment to get to from being out of town.. so we waited and waited and felt we got placed on the back burner to be after others just laughing and gossiping and not ordering.. I feel this was a poor practice..especially when some folks are literally in a hurry.. I would say if management is reading this..work on this practice because it kinda sucks.. but still not to knock the establishment ..good food and good prices.. I almost want to drive the 1 1/2 hours just to eat there
