One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. We waited over 30 minutes for our food even though the restaurant was completely empty. They were serving online orders before dine-in customers, which was ridiculous. When the food finally came, the portion size was tiny, and they got our order completely wrong — we asked for white basmati rice but got brown rice, and instead of tikka masala sauce, they gave dal makhani and some random mango sauce that made no sense.
The server was clueless, careless, and not attentive at all. Only when we asked after half an hour did they even start preparing our food.
For the price they charge, this was an absolute letdown — poor service, wrong food, and frustrating experience from start to finish. Never coming back again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

The food is delicious. But so is the food in most Indian restaurants in the VA area. By the time you order a full meal you are spending equal or more than at a regular Indian restaurant with a much nicer atmosphere. The people that work here are super nice and attentive. It’s an alternative for any fast food chain but not a substitute for a real Indian Restaurant.

We visited Choolaah Indian BBQ in Sterling, Virginia, yesterday during lunchtime as a family of four. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was excellent overall. The food quality was great, the presentation was appealing, and the restaurant maintained exceptional cleanliness. The portions were generous, making it a great value for money.
One standout was the Choolaah Chai. While the quantity was good (enough for two people to share), the preparation did not quite match the authentic Indian hot chai experience. It seemed pre-made, which was a bit of a letdown.
That said, the overall experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area. A suggestion for improvement: increasing portion sizes for some of the offerings would make this place even better.
Definitely a must-visit spot for delicious and modern Indian cuisine!

I’ve been here since they first opened. Great roomy eating area. Great concept but the menu, especially for vegetarians is just OK. More importantly the value is just not there, the wraps are really small. Service is really outstanding. Place is always not very crowded so I hope they make it. Not may options for fast Indian and when in the area I end up stopping by but which there were better options. Had paneer wrap with mango lemonade. Wrap was tasty.

I was there for dinner the other day and ordered 4 different offerings. The food came in quick and it was flooded with deliciousness. I was having a great experience until the chef NOUR and her collegue Ashley walked up. After delivering such delicious food, these two came to deliver an amazing experience. Their genuine concern about what was good, what can be better, if the food met our expectations, etc was the cherry on the cake. A place that genuinely cares for its clients is unheard of!! A big shout out to Ashley and NOUR for making the experience worth cherishing!! Thank you guys!!

This place is just great. The food is fresh and flavorful, the staff was very helpful and happy. The prices were reasonable, the he atmosphere was open and trendy. Even had an automated handwashing station. lol.
This is an order and pick up your food yourself, but has plenty of comfy seating. My daughters loved it. Highly recommend.

try to order online through their website and through doordash but no orders are being accepted. went straight to the store attempted to use the digital self-serve kiosk, but was told there was some type of connectivity problems. a very kind employee proceeded to take my order, but the fountain drink machine was also broken. placed my order and was told it would take 10 minutes however it barely took 5 minutes. food was decent, the naan was a bit dry. not sure what was going on that day, but don’t frequent this place very often.
