Got there really late 10:10 pm after having been turned away from the one in Alachua that had closed 30 minutes earlier than what was listed as their closing time, the difference between the two places could not have been more different. We just wanted a quick bite to eat and they were so welcoming and friendly. Entrees and appetizers were delicious , and all the staff was so friendly. They gladly took care of us and told us not to worry about rushing because they had to clean up anyway, they couldn’t have been more hospitable. Restaurant was nice atmosphere and nicely decorated. If you are in the mood for good Mexican food, I highly recommend this location, and even if you are closer to the other location…come here instead!

This place was great, great food and great service. We had the guy who was maybe the bartender as well as our server. Very attentive and quick. Food was outstanding, not your normal masked mush of stuff they call Mexican food now. There were flavors on flavors. I have no idea why this would drop in the 3’s.

This was our 1st time trying El Patio in High Springs. We usually go to the one in Alachua. We enjoyed this location as well. The food,service, and atmosphere were great. This location does have an outdoor area, which we will probably sit at next time we go. The salsa and chips were delicious, and the food we got was delicious. My son got chicken wings, and he said they were the best he has had around here. Nice and crispy. The service was great and the atmosphere was very comfortable. There is a nice bar at this location as well. We love that the restaurant is in an old building and they left the brick exposed. We will definitely be back.

I have already had bad experiences here before but tonight takes the cake. I will never go back. Restaurant was busy but apparently they only had 2 servers for the whole restaurant. The manager was not on the floor for the 1st 30 minutes we were there. Spent about 5 minutes waiting at the front door just standing there and there was no line. Multiple workers walked by and not 1 word from anyone. We finally get sat and not 1 word was spoken. I find out later that supposedly the person that was seating people does not speak English. We get sat and over 10 minutes goes buy before I finally have to get up and go talk to someone to even be seen and yes we saw servers multiple times during that time frame. I had the displeasure of speaking with the bartender who apparently was 1 of the 2 waitresses. She was rude and has been rude in the past. It was like it was our fault for even approaching anyone. She was witnessed by others I was with snapping at the other waitress telling her to come and deal with us right now. So we finally get someone to take a drink order. They come out quick and we’re told she would be back in just a minute to take our order. Another 20 minutes go by before I stop the one that sat us who responds with me no speak English. I told her to go get someone at which time the manager finally showed her face for the 1st time since we had been there. I tried to wave her down and she was like 1 second so I waved harder. She asked me who was my server to which I did not know. Apparently there were only 2 so she should know. Instead of her taking the order or helping out at all she goes to get the server we had seen multiple times while we were waiting to get our order taken while she was asking other tables was there anything else she could do for them. We finally get our order taken. I cannot speak for the others on their food but what I got was not even complete and cold. If you are reading this stay away from there. They need new management or ownership. The restaurant is filthy. The Bathrooms are even worse. I don’t even know how they are still open and not fined. Again I will never go back and others should stay away.

We usually dont make reviews on restaurants but this service is really poor.
We order our food(stake and burrito) and the waitress never ask how ww wanted our meet, so the just assumed medium rare.
Never as about the tortillas, so she brought to us flower tortillas ( I wanted maiz).
When i ask she said oh ok ill bring it, 39 minutes later they never came, I run out of drink and they never offer refill, only to my wife.
So I just finished our food and I have to go find waitress to get the check, once she bring the receipt.
My wife reminds her about the bad service, she laughed and said sorry and walked away.
Soon we paid, both of the waitress started to flirting again.
I was only 3 tables on the restaurant so I wasn’t because they was busy.
Poor service stay away

Kennedy was such a great server. Attentive, friendly and didn’t rush us. I was visiting with a friend from out of town and all we ordered was drinks with chips and salsa, the salsa was delicious and drinks did the trick! Thank you, will be back when I’m in the area.

First off, our server was OUTSTANDING. Party of 6 with 4 being children. She took great care of us! The food was excellent, the best Mexican food we have had in FL since moving to here. My children were happy with what they got. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her burrito and I enjoyed the heck out of the steak tacos. The flavor packed a punch! I dont see how this place is only rated a 4?
