Stopped by the Briarcliff location on Wednesday afternoon and was a little surprised to get my order in a paper bag. Then I moved from surprised to disappointed when I opened the bag. The donuts were rock hard and not fit to eat. Then I tossed in the in garbage. In the past, I’ve always gotten a quality product no matter when I stopped by. Now, customers get empty shelves and old donuts.

We like doughnuts, but my wife has been keeping this one a secret. Yesterday we were on an errand that she normally does with my mom and sis …and she forgot that her regular “Sublime” partners weren’t in the car with her!
Tried the Cream cheese Danish, Caramel Apple Fritter, and the Fresh Strawberries and Cream Doughnut. It immediately made me think of a powdered desert taco but may have been the most unique doughnut combo I’ve ever had! While ordering a couple walked in from Canton just to try Sublime. They are worth the trip!

Sublime is my go to donut spot, we used to buy at the midtown location but the Briarcliff location is closer to us now. When fresh they are so much better than the competition. A few months ago we got donuts from the Briarcliff location and the donuts seemed maybe a day or two old but we still enjoyed them. I went today to get donuts for my daughter’s birthday and all five of the donuts we got were very hard to the point they were not enjoyable, they had the texture of a week old rock hard stale loaf of bread. Way more than a day or two old. For the almost $20 dollars I spent on 5 donuts really disappointed and don’t think I can go back here now.

So let me start by saying that I love to support small businesses and even moreso minority owned businesses.
I originally found the location in Midtown and I was so pleased that I introduced Sublime to all of my family and friends, including my extended family whenever they visit.
This location is in a nicer strip mall, but I do not think they get the same level of patronage. Although the shelves are stocked, the product doesn’t seem to be as fresh. Also they don’t seem to have a consistent level of presentation. For example in the video you will notice the caramel on the apple fritter is haphazardly applied vs all the other times I have purchased this product they have the zigzag. I’ve also come here and they not have the appropriate container and they put my items in a bag with nothing separating them, so everything ends up having the same icing.
But for the most part I have been satisfied, so although I rate the food and service as 3.85⭐️, I am more comfortable rounding them up than down.

Walked in on a Saturday morning about 9:30am. Place is filthy. Having second thoughts about ordering. But I stayed. Person walks from out back no good morning nothing. I tried to smile and then said I wanted to get certain donuts and I got a head shake of no. Picked another and got another head shake. Finally I picked 4 donuts. Paid and left. Not going back. That was the last straw. It’s depressing to see a place like this. I know it is hard to employee good people these days. But I feel no attempts have been made to clean this place up. I won’t be back.

I really wanted to enjoy these donuts. This was the second time I have been to Sublime. The first time I went the donuts were a bit on the dry side. Though the donuts were quite pretty, they were also quite stale. I typically like to give a business a couple of chances. I had the same experience the SECOND visit. Sadly, I won’t come back for a third time. Why even bother selling old donuts?

Unfortunately the one star is for the experience I had, not the donuts! I was here early this morning (around 6:30 am) to pick up up a dozen donuts and had a very unpleasant experience. I was waiting in the dark lobby by myself for almost 5 minutes before any employees came to the counter. Before I payed for my dozen donuts, Troy (the employee who helped me) saw I was going to use Apple Pay and asked if I’d prefer to pay $25 versus the standard $35 and he could just give me his phone number to Apple Pay him. This made me incredibly uncomfortable. Other than this experience, the donuts were amazing and were a great way to kick off the week at work!

I have been a long time fan of Sublime. Essentially since the 10th street location opened. The last few times I have been, it continues to get worse. I was hoping it was just a one-off experience but after a few times, it seems to be the norm. I stopped in yesterday around 1:00. The A Town has always been our favorite. The custard is almost non-existent now and it is different than it used to be. It seems like it is not just a standard food service grade custard. And the icing is very graining. And pastry is dried out and stale tasting. I tried the butter toffee for the first time and it was inedible. The topping had a strange, fake taste to it. I threw it away after two bites. It’s such a shame to see such a decline in a local business I supported and recommended for so many years. I always said they were the best donuts in Atlanta. I can’t say that any longer. And the prices are crazy. $25 for a half dozen donuts that I threw away. What a waste

Terrible service, the woman at the counter had a cold and bitter attitude; When placing my order not only did she get it wrong, but she gave me a donut that was half broken off, looked at me as if i was in the wrong for asking for a different one. Then, when ordering the half a dozen, she forgot one of my donuts, and when she gave it to me she had to ring it up as a completely different order so i actually got up charged full price for six individual donuts instead of the discount price listed for half a dozen.
The lady even tried to convince me that the “cinnamon roll” was a good cinnamon roll. Honestly, I don’t taste the cinnamon- Matter of fact, I’ve had honey buns from the gas station with better taste and customer service. All of the donuts, were hard, dry, and lacking of taste.
Mind you this is my first time in ATL, Don’t go here, so many better options in Atlanta.
