Everything was good. Very Tex Mex & def not authentic Mexican food. We did add salt & pepper to the corn elote. Too much cabbage with mayo in the shrimp & blacked corn taco but easy to fix. The margaritas looked so good but I couldn’t have one today
We tried a lot of things
Salsa & chips
Queso (white) pretty good
Guacamole excellent !
Corn elote appetizer good added salt & pepper
Tamales
Shrimp taco
Soft tacos supreme
Would go back !

My family and I went while we were passing through Florida, the service was great, place was very clean and the food was mouth watering!! I think the chips were the best part lol. We all got full of them, very fresh!! It was a 10/10 for us!

This is my bfs favorite taco place. The service was good. She kept on top of our drinks.
I was curious to try the street corn shrimp quesadilla, but was disappointed when the shimp came with a weird breading that i didn’t like at all and had to pick it out. Would have been amazing if it was just small seasoned shrimp instead.

Third time ordering from here.
1st order was great.
2nd order, they screwed up the order and gave me less than what I ordered. Called the store multiple times, finally got the partial refund. No apologies.
3rd order, called the store to place a take out order. She put me on a hold for 14 minutes and hung up. Went to the store to place the order. Ordered 7tacos: street taco all cilantro on the side
2 carnitas, 2 al pastor, 2 chorizo, 1 birria.
Gave me 3 carnitas, 2 alpastor, 2 chorizzo and 3 of them had cilantro in them.
How hard is it to screw up the order every time?
Food is good. But staff aren’t friendly and they never get the order right and no apologies. Will never order again.

Good food and excellent service. Our waitress was very polite and on top of refills and anything we needed, very promptly. Kids meals were good (I loved the fries), and my chimichanga was good. Not the best I’ve ever had, but very good. It was probably one of the most beautifully plated ones though. Lol. All the food was for that matter. The chips were also good, but would have been even better warmed up. The interior was clean and beautifully decorated as well. Loved all the vibrant colors, sting lights, wall murals and stars hanging all over ⭐️

Ordered food and drinks, took 15 min for drinks to arrive. Waited another 40 min for food. Didn’t even get what we ordered order was 1 single beef taco and a chimichanga plate with no salad and black beans. Got refried beans and salad. Queso cheese never showed to the table. Had to ask 5 min after food arrived. Food not seasoned. Let alone there was only 3 tables. Not busy at all. Waste of money and stay clear if you are looking for genuine Mexican cuisine. When asked about cheese dip we got a appetizer cup of queso.

So the Kid (23yo son) and I have been looking forward to trying Cantina Louie since we noticed that the space was under renovation. We had heard from fellow foodies about their other locations, how good the food was, and we were certainly not disappointed! Upon entry, you’ll be impressed by the decor. Obviously somebody put a lot of thought into designing the interior space, imparting a colorful Mexican street party vibe while paying homage to Daytona’s racing heritage along the back wall. We were seated immediately upon our arrival and the place was already very busy. Our servers were truly outstanding and the main reason for the five-star review. They were attentive and extremely pleasant during our entire visit! We were given a corner booth and ordered the guacamole dip and chips as our appetizer and I tried the 1862 Margarita as well. Now in fairness, I should state that I have been collecting high-end tequilas for a very long time, and I tend to be a traditionalist when it comes to a margarita. Having said that, this particular concoction, while a bit too heavy on the lime juice, was pretty tasty and I’m sure that they will sell a million of them! Next time I’m in, I want to spend some time at their bar and maybe see what they have for sipping tequilas, but I digress. The guacamole was a little too smooth and creamy for our liking, and while it may have had a touch too much lime juice, it was very tasty and went well with the chips and salsa. Speaking of salsa, we ordered the habanero version from the menu and were very pleasantly surprised by just how hot and flavorful it really was. Most places are much too conservative when it comes to salsas and food that is advertised as and expected to be hot. This salsa did NOT disappoint! For our entrees, the Kid ordered the Huaracha Al Pastor and I ordered the Huaracha de Chorizo. We also ordered two tacos each, the Carnitas and the Asada, both Mexican style with soft corn tortillas. The Huarachas, fried masa cakes with various toppings, were much bigger than we anticipated. If you’re a fan of tamales, I think you’ll love these! As for the tacos, the Carnitas version was stuffed with really flavorful and well-prepared pork. The aforementioned habanero salsa was a fantastic accompaniment to this! The Asada was equally delicious, but I would have liked to have seen more meat in this one as it seemed a bit light considering the price per taco here. Having ordered way too much to finish in one setting, we took some food home, and were much too satisfied to order any of the desserts, although that Flan has my name on it for our next visit. I’m really looking forward to trying some of Louie’s Specialty Tacos and one of those monster burritos I keep hearing about as well, so we’ll be back soon! All in all, Cantina Louie is a welcome addition to the burgeoning Tex-Mex/Fresh-Mex scene here in Volusia County. If you’re looking for a more authentic representation of Mexican street food, there are better examples in the area, but if you’re into really fresh, really tasty Mexican food, at a price that won’t destroy your wallet, you owe it to yourself to give Cantina Louie a try! See ya there!
