Both the fries and chicken was cold as if it was cooked 2 hours ago and left on counter. I was already down the street and just figured it was my loss instead of turning around. Service was prompt. They didn’t have any chicken because the only cook they had went home early . UPDATE: i decided to give them another chance on February 24th at 10pm. I went to the drive thru and while I was waiting for them to ask me for my order and they turned the drive thru screen completely black!!!! I pull up to the window and the 2 people that were there wouldn’t come to the window. This is the worst Popeyes I ever went to and I WILL NEVER COME BACK!!! Take my advice and go to the Popeyes in Jessup or the one on route 1 in laurel. Avoid this one in Maryland City

Came in to quickly grab dinner on the way home. The dining area was completely empty, but drive-thru was about 4-5 cars deep. I stand at the register and am ignored by 2 front-end team members for 3-5 minutes. One even intentionally avoided eye contact with me.
Then a guy from the kitchen came up fron to grab something, saw me, and immediately stopped what he was doing to take my order.
When the person who I guess was supposed to be taking orders got back, I had a really odd interaction. She asked me if my order got taken and I sad yes, the guy in the apron got it. Then she kind of interrogated me? Double checking what I ordered and trying to get me drinks after I confirmed that he already got them for me. Did she not trust that he new how to take an order and pour soda?
Anyway, really weird customer service experience overall, but saved by the guy from the kitchen. 10/31/25 at around 4:40 if ya’ll want to review for any extra training.

I have a serious question….HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN? I sometimes find myself going here because it’s the most convenient for me but literally EVERY SINGLE TIME I don’t get all my food, the food looks like it’s been sitting out ALL DAY, and the people taking my order can’t understand anything I say. To top it off the guy tried to charge me $.50 per BBQ sauce after I spent $50 on chicken. This establishment is laughable!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience I had at your establishment. Upon receiving my order, I noticed that the batter on my chicken tenders was falling off. While the chicken was fully cooked, it was not crispy as expected—it was soggy. Additionally, the fries were also soggy, and the soda appeared to be either watered down or completely flat.
Furthermore, my order was not ready on time. I was asked to pull over and wait, which I did for 50 minutes. No employee came out to deliver my food, and I ultimately had to go inside the restaurant to retrieve it myself. It was clear that my order had been forgotten. Please note that this order was placed through the drive-through, and the service I received was far below the standard I expect from your business.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and address the issues mentioned above. I would appreciate a response regarding how you intend to prevent this type of experience from occurring in the future.

If I could give this place a negative 0, I would. I went through the drive through and ordered a 3 piece tender with Mac n cheese. I drove off and left, but I quickly had to return. The tenders were not well cooked and hard. The Mac n cheese was soupy and looked like mush. I went the to manager and told him about the problem and asked for a refund. He took tongs from a rack of cooked chicken, broke the tenders into pieces, and put the tongs back, reiterating, on the rack where the cook chicken was. How unsanitary. He said something in Spanish and walked away. Another person gave me a refund and walked away to put fries into the grease to cook. No one apologized, said thank you, nothing.
This place deserves a zero rating for customer service and cleanliness.

Popeyes is fire, their fried chicken is so good and the chicken sandwich is a must-try! The Cajun fries are also super addictive, and overall it’s a dope spot for some satisfying eats!

This place has really gotten bad with the atmosphere as it relates to customer service and the people that currently work there…including management in the evenings, especially. Why is it that a customer walks in with no other customers in the restaurant and no one turns around to help me for over two minutes? And when I asked them about it (I’m saying hello hello they’re not answering) they give me the excuse of “oh we have a headphones in” and I’m like yeah, but that only covers ONE ear! And they say still say nothing. They don’t even apologize for it and then when I’m given my order and I said thank you…no response. I’m like…what is going on in these places these days! The management here should be ashamed of themselves. The people here are only interested in the process/operations more than the quality of service and customer service for the people that actually keep them in business and keep them having a job!

I like this place.. I take my son here whenever I come to Laurel to shop at Walmart. The workers are always so friendly and polite. I’ve never had a bad visit with them. Yeah, I’m going to keep coming here. It’s Popeye’s, lol So don’t expect no pics. It taste so good, I don’t have time to take pics, I’m trying to feed my hunger..
Today is Nov 3rd 2019. The chicken Sandwich came back out today. I was in the area so I stopped pass. The drive thru line was by the exxon gas station. So I went inside and the line was a little long. I stuck thru it and waited 1 hr 20 min. I got my precious, lol. I brought 6 sandwiches. I didn’t wait all that time to buy just 1. The staff was friendly as always. The customers were actually pretty cool also. Was it worth it ? Yes! Surprisingly the sandwhich looked picture worthy. It also tasted really good, I was shocked. Although I won’t stand in line again for a hr for a sandwich, I had a nice time and I’m glad I got a chance to taste it. After eating it, I was pretty full. It’s a big portion of chicken. Not a lil chicken patty like the other stores. So now I get to see what the fuss was all about. At $ 3.99 this was alot for your buck. Now I can claim, I so did that sh*t ! , lol
