Really enjoyed the Friday night visit! The service was fast, and the food was absolutely delicious. Started with a pretzel appetizer, it was excellent, followed by a cold beer and the Friday fish fry special. Let me tell you, you won’t leave hungry! Everything was so good, and the atmosphere was a lot of fun too.

We went with friends and had the King Ludwig’s feast. The presentation was spectacular and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the Christmas beer kegg tap, the lighting of the beer barrel christmas tree and the delicious mulled wine. A good time was had by all!!

My wife and I ate dinner here on a Saturday night.

To start we both had Hefe Weizen beer. It was very good. For appetizer we shared a Riesenbrezen Pretzel Combo. It was very delicious.

For dinner my wife had Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich and I had the Wurstplate with Buttered Spätzle instead of Sauerkraut. Both dishes were very delicious.

Finally, for dessert, we both split a serving of Schwarzwälder Kirsch Torte with vanilla ice cream. It was a delicious treat to end a fine meal with.

The indoor dining area was very expansive with lots of seating. Sometimes parties will have to share a table, but that goes along with the community atmosphere.

The servers were very friendly. Also they have live entertainment. When we were there the band was a local German band. They were very good, and they made it a lively atmosphere.

My fiancée and I visited Hofbräuhaus Buffalo yesterday, and it was hands-down one of the most authentic and enjoyable dining experiences we’ve ever had in the city.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere transported us—warm, energetic, and genuinely reminiscent of a traditional German beer hall rather than a themed restaurant. The food was exceptional across the board: expertly prepared, rich in flavor, and clearly rooted in authenticity rather than shortcuts. Every dish felt intentional and true to its origins.

The drinks were equally impressive—top-notch quality, perfectly poured, and thoughtfully curated. It’s rare to find a place where both the kitchen and the bar operate at such a consistently high level.

What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. They were welcoming, attentive, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with, making the entire visit feel effortless and memorable. I honestly haven’t laughed that hard, genuinely, in quite a while—and that says a lot.

Hofbräuhaus Buffalo isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience. The attention to detail, authenticity, and hospitality make it a standout destination. Easily one of the best dining experiences Buffalo has to offer. We’ll absolutely be back.

I feel like I’m in Germany- the food is that authentic and DELICIOUS! We had the Large Pretzel and Bavarian Potato Soup as appetizers and they were fantastic. And even though we were there for lunch, the chef was kind enough to make us a traditional Schnitzel and German Potato Salad since it’s only on the dinner menu. We felt like we were back in Germany! It was perfect. And the Apple Strudel à la Mode was the best I’ve ever had! Our server was lovely, helpful and prompt. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The place is HUGE! It looks like a great time during a ball game and especially during Oktoberfest! We don’t drink, but lots of folks around us were having a beer and they have a Steinmaster Club where you can leave your Beer Stein here under lock and key! Definitely a great meal in Buffalo!!!

Great atmosphere but this place is really only meant to serve beer. They don’t have enough staff to get served. Got seated at 5:15, ordered at 5:30 and left at 7pm without food. Had to go to bar to order beer because waitress rarely came to table. We don’t know if the waitress never put in our order or if the kitchen messed up. We were told that our order was “next up” many many times. But it never came. People were getting served food all around us.
