Reviews
Bumping them up a star after a bunch of return visits. My big objection (lack of a descriptive menu) from my first review of this place still stands as nothing has changed. That said, their food is just simply good enough to deal with the notion that you won’t really know what you’re ordering or what your getting but the odds heavily favor it being delicious.
Their food is bursting with interesting flavors!
I’ve chatted with several Indian gentlemen who were in the restaurant when I was having a meal. I’ve come to learn that the Indian community considers this place to be the most authentic Indian street/comfort food restaurant in the St Louis area. I am generally one of the only non-Indian diners in the place when I visit. That’s my kind of place!
It would just be fantastic to know what you’re eating…
They have a nice combo option where you can choose 2 or 3 curries, which is really convenient
I also tried the chicken biryani — it was average, nothing special.
The dosa was good though, crispy and tasty
Order your food up and then they’ll call your name to come get it. So it’s serve yourself.
All the food was really good. The butter chicken was probably our favorite. The garlic naan was really good.
Never had the big crêpe like item with the dipping sauces. It was different and really interesting. They cook it so it has a crispiness to it.
Only reason they lost the star was the place was freezing cold. I mentioned it to them and I think they did turn it down so it wasn’t as bad but if you go here to eat bring layers so you don’t get cold.

Wife gets the mango lassie, says it is great and she knows mangos…
Fauda drink is good, very sweet with basil seeds and thin noddles I think, interesting drink.
It’s usually buzzing, almost always full, which tells you you’re in the right place but it also means patience is part of the experience. Orders take time, and dishes arrive at their own pace. At the front, one person is juggling it all greeting guests, managing orders, trying to keep things moving clearly doing their best, though it’s obvious they could use an extra pair of hands.
If you’re not in a rush and are happy to soak in the energy while waiting for honest, traditional Indian food, The Curry Club is worth the stop.
