Great food and great customer service.
I was on a long cross country trip with my Dad, exhausted, and stopped in Omaha for the night. We went to Jimmy D’s but as soon as I got seated, I realized it was just too noisy for me – it was Friday night and I’m sensitive to noisy places and get migraines easily. So we changed plans to get takeout, got up from our table, and went to the front.
The owner saw all this and came rushing over to make sure everything was ok. He was so polite and eager to make sure nothing was wrong and to make anything right. He was wonderful and had our takeout orders rushed.
The food was delicious! I had the pecan salmon and my dad had tacos. If I wasn’t so tired, I probably would have been happy to stay. The restaurant was full with families with children, couples at the bar, and was very welcoming.

This unassuming place had the best food, service and atmosphere. En route to California we needed to fill our bellies and I read the reviews and decided to stop here…so glad we did.
Our waiter was so accommodating, engaging and just an overall cool dude
The atmosphere was a bit quiet at first but as the time got later, more people showed up and the buzz in the air was good.
We all enjoyed our meals and then it was time to head west.
Definitely have this place on our “Return” list if we ever traverse through Nebraska again

My husband started with the House Soup and upgraded to a bowl. It has kale, beans, and sausage although he said there were like 3 beans in the whole thing. He liked it well enough. I got a salad, the House Vinaigrette was yummy.
He ordered Chicken Parmesan. Said the chicken was good but the noodles were way overdone and everything was soggy with so much sauce. Ended up taking it home to the kids. My plate of Fish & Chips looked good, the fries were crispy and seasoned well. The fish, however, wasn’t great. The parts that were crispy were fine but most of it was gummy and chewy . My husband suggested maybe the fryer was overcrowded or something and it didn’t cook right. Super bummed.
Ended with a Pomegranate and Pear Cocktail which I loved. Anything with pear calls my name. Also took a piece of Carrot Cake to go. I liked the addition of pineapple but it had no nuts and I personally like the contrasting texture.
Place was slammed so maybe it was just an off night. There’s several other things on the menu I’d like to try. Our server Gage was great and the primary reason I’d give them another chance.

WOW! Totally unexpected for this small place (from outside view). Menu rocks with unexpected items. Food was incredible. Portion sizes were massive. Price is low. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Atmoshphere appropriate and music was not too loud. Outdoor seating available. I dont have any complaints about this place except that it is not located in tge Phoenix suburbs where i can visit again n again. I would definately return here if i could and highly recommend that you stop by.

I really had high hopes for this place and was so excited to try,but we didn’t even order. As we are waiting for the server to come back I noticed she was on the patio talking to other guests, there was a dog (not a problem, outside on the patio) but the server petting and playing with the dog is the problem, then came back in and straight to our table. Didn’t even go wash her hands, not to mention the chance of her now having fur on her clothing ect that could ultimately end up in someone’s food. So unsanitary, so we left.

Food was really good!! Our servicer was a younger guy who was doing a great job and very kind and was good about checking in on us. Only downside is that it can get pretty loud in here, and they were having difficulties with their AC which made eating hot food pretty uncomfortable.

All around an amazing experience. Super great liquor ice cream drink ideas. I really liked the gnocchi appetizer as well. The 3 sauces were all equally as good. We got enough sweet potato fries to take home and make 2 meals worth. Philly steak and cheese was awesome as well. Everything was pretty reasonably priced compared to other dine in food in Omaha.

Not often do I leave almost perfect reviews of places, but Jimi D’s is one of those places that deserves more than 5 stars. The atmosphere is great, the food is exceptional, and the service is fantastic. I’m not sure if Gage is the only server, but if he’s not, you better hope to get him! He’s super friendly and his service is great. You’ll see him running around getting to every table as fast as he can. I hope Jimi D’s sees his hard work and pays him well, or offers him a raise. I also appreciated when the manager would step in and fill our drinks and brought our food out when Gage wasn’t able to. It’s truly amazing to see a manager that cares for and helps out his employees. We will definitely be returning!

We were seated at our table. Tables that came in after us were provided service before us. Had to get the hostess attention to let her know that a server had not attended to us. Waitress was very nice once she came to our table. Food was very good.
