This is a great place to eat. The food is phenomenal, it tastes as good as it looks and even better. The waiter, Morgan, is truly kind, accommodating, and welcoming. Morgan was really attentive and went above and beyond to serve our table. He is also multi lingual and you can tell he tries his very best to be of service. Highly recommend this place to everyone!!

Tried a few dishes here and overall it was a solid meal. The risotto was nicely done — creamy and comforting without being too heavy. The seafood pasta was also good, with a well-balanced sauce and satisfying bite. The mushroom soup was fine (warm and earthy), though not the standout for me.
The real surprise highlight was the pistachio tiramisu — honestly so good. Creamy, nutty, and really well-balanced. I’d come back for that alone.

We had an incredible dinner at Ristorante Matteoni. The highlight of the night was the Bistecca Fiorentina Chianina IGP — easily one of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Our waiter recommended increasing our order from 1.3 kg to 1.5 kg, and we are so glad we listened. The extra portion made all the difference, giving us that perfect thick cut with a beautifully charred exterior and a tender, flavorful center cooked exactly as it should be.
The quality of the Chianina beef was outstanding — rich, buttery, and deeply savory without needing anything more than a sprinkle of salt. We paired it with a bottle of Maremma Terre More Toscano from Frescobaldi, which complemented the steak perfectly with its bold structure and smooth finish.
From the knowledgeable service to the exceptional food and wine, this was a memorable Florentine dining experience. Highly recommend trusting the staff’s recommendations — they clearly know what they’re doing.

This is an higher end restaurant compared to trattoria. Their wide selection of food is more than enough to satisfy your palate but I find it a tad under. Could be better though. There’s a wine window outside the restaurant which you can try.

When I asked a waiter to recommend some wine considering our personal taste based on the food we have chosen, I had a sensation that he was trying to sell the bottle of the most expensive wine.
The time to prepare the food was quick.
Then after we finished the dinner nobody came and asked how was it, anything else. I had to come over and ask for the bill, for the price of 200€ I think there should be more profesional service.
Atmosphere is ok. Nothing special but not bad.
