Food was good. I had the beef noodle soup and it hit the spot on this cold day. My friend had the salmon bowl and said that it was good. Only problem was that I was given a glass with a chip on the rim.

Went for a Saturday date night. Cozy atmosphere with holiday decorations, and there were a few tables open so no wait. My go-to roasted duck curry was a winner as usual, and we tried their new pho-style beef noodle soup that was delicious and generously portioned. The fresh rolls we had as appetizer were ok but nothing to write home about – somewhat dominated by lettuce.

I debated on leaving this review because I used to love this place and typically had a good experience. They even won an Indy last year. However, the last time ensured I won’t be back.

We arrived about 30 to 40 minutes before closing which we didn’t realize and that’s on me for not checking but the employee inside was extremely rude about it stating they close in 20 minutes. She was just cold and may have been having a bad day but it just seemed unnecessary. We got takeout (which I regret) because I’m pretty sure the food I received has been what caused an upset stomach for the past few days.

In summation, the staff member was rude and the food was rushed to be prepared. They could have just told me they were closed and declined my service if this was going to be my experience. I won’t be back. There’s much better Thai in RTP.

You can always count on Thai Cafe for great food and atmosphere, and fabulous and friendly service. (Not to mention that they saved our family Christmas Eve outing this year by scrambling to welcome us as walk-ins after a nearby restaurant failed to honor our reservation.) P.S. If you still need another reason to go there: COCONUT CAKE!!!!

Nice Thai restaurant with a unique twist on classic favorites! I ordered a papaya salad and was surprised to see that it came with fresh jerky on top. It was really good! I also was impressed by how tender the salmon was, since I believe many places overcook salmon. And the potstickers were really good and I loved the curry that they were served in. My only regrets are that the food wasn’t as spicy as I was hoping it would be, and even though the place was fairly empty it took a while for the server to come to our table.

This is the worst pad thai ever. They have put some sweet sauce and it almost takes like some noodles dessert. It was very very sweet, from the first bite. I have been to many thai restaurants and i know what pad thai is. You can see how much sauce is in the picture.
Service: The guy standing here does a very poor service like he does not care to explain. I asked a question and he said something really fast and went inside.

Stopped in for dinner after a recommendation from friends. Amazing service and delicious food. The staff made us feel like family. Green curry was so yummy. Gluten free Coconut cake was amazing!! Hard to find gluten free restaurants with as many options available as here. And the cake topped it off. Tried fried tofu for the first time and that was also delicious. Highly recommend for a delicious, casual meal.

Best Thai place in town. Best Thai place I’ve had in North Carolina. Crab Rangoon was the best I’ve had in a long time. Just like my mom used to make it. Had the crispy duck basil which I would definitely get again. Coconut cake= AMAZING! I will definitely be coming back. Their lunch deals look really good.

Can’t go wrong with whatever you get here. There were a lot of to go orders, but I will probably always dine in. Reminds me of home.

Mango sticky rice was fine, but portion is criminally small. Half a mango and a finger of sticky rice for $8
