We got the enchiladas with verde sauce, I got lime tofu added in mine. They tasted amazing! The sauce was amazing and rich, the tortillas so soft. They also gave a hot sauce as we wanted to make our enchiladas spicier, the enchiladas tasted even better with that sauce. Best part about this restaurant is that they have clear options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free which makes it much easier to order without having to explain our dietary needs. 10/10 recommend trying food here. Definitely coming back!

This was the most amazing meal I have had in quite some time! Everything was exceptional. I ate the elote before I remembered to take the picture, sorry. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wishing to have authentic Mexican cuisine.

Neno’s in Rochester is a fun to go to restaurant. Our experience there was average. Service was good and the servers were knowledgeable for food accommodations such as gluten free, vegan and vegetarian. Menus are labelled well.
The tacos are good, they proteins tend to disappoint a bit lacking true Mexican flavours. They were more bland. The birria tacos were best. The nachos were stale unfortunately.
As mentioned we liked the atmosphere but in order to improve I’d recommend to review the menu and make things more flavourful. The cost is high for what you get.

This place is amazing, point blank! My wife and I come up to Rochester from Philly at least once a year and Neno’s is a staple and a must in our itinerary. From the super flavorful house salsa and chips, to the classic appetizers and creative fusion entrees this place hasn’t disappointed, ever. We’ve tried the gauntlet of a menu with different apps and entrees. This specific time we shared the elotes appetizer (Mexican street corn on the cob) and the flavor and heat kick of the sauce on top was to die for. My wife had the Birria Torta and OMG, that crispy cheese topped, consumé soaked, brioche roll was unreal! Somehow it had a crisp to it with every bite and that consumé (chef’s kiss). I had the Birria tacos and they too were super flavorful and authentic. However the only disappointing thing was that they removed one of favorite dishes from their newly updated menu, the fried pork chunks with rice and tortilla chips. We are customers and advocates of Neno’s forever. Keep up the great work and keep feeding the soul of Rochester!

Hands down the best Mexican food in Rochester for a full menu, sit-down, authentic meal. We have been twice now, and nothing has let us down. My son got the most expensive meal on the menu (about $30ish) and it was fantastic. We love the Birria! Any choice with Birria in it there is a winner for sure. No competition outside of Chuy’s (a small amount, but insight parking…fills fast though). Like I said though, Neno’s has more seating room, choices and variety.

The birria tacos and fish tacos were really good! We went on a Friday night so we got the fish tacos deal, 4 instead of 3, and got fish instead of shrimp. The birria tacos were crispy and fresh, very flavorful, and the consome was tasty.
The equites corn bowl and margarita were also good.
