I wasn’t sure how to rate this restaurant because it had good and bad things.My Mom told me about this restaurant, so we ended up driving from NYC to go eat here. I ordered the most simplest thing, rotisserie chicken with fries.. that wasn’t bad. The Choritos a la chalaca was really really good.10/10. Super delicious.
I also ordered a drink called Chicha, im not trying to be mean… but it was terrible.. probably the worst Chicha I had.. they definitely need to change that drink.
The place is small..so its a little bit uncomfortable to eat inside because it feels like everyone is close to you. The waiter was very nice though. I appreciated the service.. would I go back though? Probably to eat the Choritos lol because damn..it was good lol

With so many great places to get Peruvian food in CT, it’s only right that we went to check out one of the longest running Peruvian restaurants in CT and the oldest in Hartford! This authentic spot is serving delicious food! Loved the rotisserie chicken, Peruvian style fried rice, and Lomo Saltado. The food came out quickly, and the restaurant maintains tradition well. Everyone was so friendly, and the dining room was decorated nicely. Such a great spot to know about!

I love this place! Their Ceviche de Pescado Picante is amazing. One of my favorite dishes. The Anticuchos are also wonderful. Perfectly marinated and seasoned; grilled on a charcoal or wood grill. The green jalapeño-cucumber sauce is great with the bread and with the Anticuchos. Some Rocoto on the side if you’re adventurous and love the heat. Get yourself some Chicha Morada or Inca Cola to drink and you’re good. Definitely one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in the Hartford area. Big portions and good prices. Parking can be a bit of a challenge sometimes… It’s worth it though.

Horrible customer service and food. I ordered my steak medium and received this. The steak was dry and cooked way past well. The plaintains were burnt all on the bottom and the egg as well. I drove over an hour to pick this up and was refused a refund. They offered me credit for what I paid and when I called to reclaim this credit they said I can come and pick up one steak. Literally ONE STEAK because they can’t afford to give me the rice and French fries it comes with. So many better restaurants out there will not be coming back here again!

I’ve ordered twice. Both times I was amazed with the rice. The most favorite of the order. So fresh. I gave four star because the chicken tasted like it was on the way out of circulation. It was flavorful but dry. But the second time I ordered the poor man steak with the rice and I’ll stick with that from now on. The rice is phenomenal. Honestly. They should have more variety on soda though. I like Inca, but would have preferred other options available on the doordash app.
