Yessss I am absolutely in love with the deliciousness of fried chicken livers! There’s just something about that crispy outside and tender, flavorful inside that makes me so happy every single time. I swear, I cannot leave Kentucky without getting some fried chicken — it’s basically a requirement at this point! ✨

Food was just horribly bland, hard and the prices come on now. The 5 pieces of okra and I think their interpretation of fried green tomatoes should just be removed from the menu. The only thing we did like was the baked beans and my husband ate his chicken pegs. To charge for condiments like hot sauce when you selling checking is crazy. We won’t ever return!

If you are ever looking for a small local favorite that is decently priced and you get amazing food, this is one of those gems. They have so many sides to choose from. My only advice is skip the mashed potatoes and opt for something else you can’t usually get- like fried green tomatoes, corn on the cob, Mac and cheese… I had a hard time choosing.

Chicken is Always fresh and delicious. This time I got fried cauliflower. It is sooo yummy . Normally it’s not this dark, however umno what happen this time ♀️ ♀️. It was still good. Gotta get that yum yum sauce to go with it!! It’s gotta lil kick but it’s good.

THEY LOST A CUSTOMER OVER GRAVY!!!
We’ve eaten from here often. I won’t be back all because of 3 tablespoons of gravy. I spent 40.00 here on Feb 1. One side was mashed potatoes and gravy. I asked for them to be in separate containers and was told no. The lady said they had to be together. How ridiculous is that?! I tried to reason with her,, she talked to several other people and they all had an issue withe gravy being separate. At one point she said I could get the gravy separate if I paid 1.06. I speak Spanish and heard them talking about how I wanted gravy “separado” and all of them said no it has to be with the potatoes. Craziest thing ever. I actually drove 2 fish dinners 80 miles to some relatives and told them enjoy because I will never go their again. Losing a customer over gravy!! AND 3.OO for these Fried Green Tomatoes is a joke. NEVER AGAIN

Today was the worst for Grimes. I sat in the drive thru over 5 mins while the crew stood eating. My chicken was not completely breaded, the crispy outside is the best part. Very disappointed today. I am a big fan of Grimes. My go to 1-2 times a week.

Saw some good reviews for here and made a point to try the food. When we pulled up saw a few people leaving out of the front door with bags of food and thought although the dining room was closed I could go in and take my time looking at the menu so I could order after seeing the menu thoroughly. As soon as I walked in I was told quite sternly that I had to go through the Drive thru only. I got back in the car and pulled into the Drive thru and then had to quickly order because we had someone behind us right away. I ordered the Spicy Chicken meal combo and my wife got the Regular Chicken combo both came with Biscuits and potato wedges. Went to the window to pick up the food and again the server was very stern and very impatient. This is the only critical thing I can say about the restaurant because the food was solid. If you are in the area the chicken is worthwhile and the potato wedges are very good.
