I have had to stay at the hospital for over and month with a relative and not familiar with the area. I found this place driving to the hospital and have been back at least 5 times! Everything I have had is delicious and super flavorful. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ever eaten here. The service is quick and everyone always very accommodating and kind. Highly recommend

Worst staff, its better to order at home. Even sour cream is not included with your meal, very tiny bit of lettuce and tomato salsa. If you ask for sour cream or salsa, they rudely bring it over and slam a fee. In Frederick they have much better Mexican food in Food trucks!! Never again!

We visited for the very first time on Saturday, February 7th. From the outside, it looks like an ordinary place, but the moment you walk through the front door, you’re welcomed into a wonderful atmosphere. It feels like an art gallery, filled with terrific people and great food—and surprisingly affordable for families.
The décor, brought from Mexico, creates a magnificent and vibrant setting. The staff is attentive and genuinely focused on taking care of your needs. The food is some of the best Mexican-American cuisine we’ve had by far, and the desserts are outstanding as well.
Highly recommended.

We came here on a Friday at 5:30 and were seated immediately. One thing that stuck out here was the service! I love when a service team works together and this team was great! We started with chips and salsa! So fresh and the salsa was amazing. It was enough flavor without overwhelming the chips. They also gave a good portion. I asked one of waitresses for a recommendation and she suggested the chicken and steak fajita. It came out really quickly and was amazing. The tortillas were so flavorful and the fajita mix was well seasoned without being spicy. My wife had the burrito pastor and she could not stop raving about it. The rice and beans ( usually an afterthought were also really delicious. I was really full and had left overs ( my wife ate all hers and reluctantly shared a bit with me). At first I thought the four tortillas were going to leave me hungry but it was the perfect amount. The restaurant is really vibrant! I love the decorations and the colors throughout! Honestly, Mexican is not really my go to, but I will absolutely come back! Come here and treat yourself, you’re worth it.

⭐ 1/5 – Disappointing food and poor service
We visited Café Bueno with a group of four and our dog. The outdoor seating was nice, but the experience quickly went downhill.
I ordered the Burrito Al Pastor, which lacked flavor, and someone else’s mango margarita tasted more like cough syrup than a cocktail. I took a few sips but couldn’t finish it.
Unfortunately, the service was even worse than the food. The waitress ignored me after we ordered and barely acknowledged me, even when I answered questions she directed at our table. Her focus was entirely on someone else in our group, and it felt intentional.
When flies became a problem outside and the sun got intense, I asked to move indoors. Even there, I was overlooked and treated dismissively.
Food-wise, it was a hit-or-miss experience, but the lack of basic courtesy from the waitress is what really stuck with me. If I were paying, the tip would’ve reflected that. I won’t be returning.

The service was excellent. The man taking care of us was extremely friendly and attentive. The food came out very quickly. The chips and salsa were good, although you have to order them for 5.99, which was a bit unusual. I had steak tacos, “Mexican style,” which were good. My wife had the tacos al pastor, which she said were similarly good. Everything was cooked well and tasted fresh. The chicken nachos we ordered to start were also very good.
The fried ice cream had an unpleasant consistency–it was chewy, like it came right out of the freezer instead of the fryer. That was the only disappointment.
They have a simple menu with limited options, which, as usual, means they’re good at what they do. Worth a visit if you’re in downtown Frederick.

I can’t even put into words how much this place means to me and how amazing it is. It is the best restaurant in the entire world. I’ve been a loyal customer for 10 years now. I get the nachos every time and they never disappoint. Even after they changed the recipe slightly, they accommodate the old recipe for me. I go with my high school friends every time we come home for break. Rodrigo is the best server and remembers our orders and is so friendly every time. The service is crazy fast, even macdonalds isn’t this fast. live laugh love cafe bueno for life.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic food and excellent service!
We came to Café Bueno as a group of six, and even though the restaurant was full, we were greeted right away and seated immediately — a great first impression! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from start to finish.
Our food came out surprisingly fast — honestly, we took longer deciding what to order than it took them to bring it out! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served hot. The team checked on us several times throughout our meal without ever feeling intrusive, which really made the experience even better.
It’s not easy to find a place that delivers both great food and top-notch service, but Café Bueno absolutely does. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We love the Mexican food here and the atmosphere! In the warmer months, we enjoy eating outside on their patio. The staff is very alert and aware that you are there, and they care about your business. We keep coming back to try different dishes and it’s always satisfying!
