Got our order completely wrong. Called the restaurant to ask if they could exchange it. Kindly asked if we could exchange it for the proper Order. She said no come back again next time. Over $70 worth of food and only three orders were right. Not to mention the portion size absolutely crazy small. If you’re gonna eat here, do it at your own risk? But I would highly suggest not considering this has happened to me multiple times. That soup was considered enough for two people. The individual bowl you get when you sit down is bigger than that and it ended up being about $22 per meal

Kelly and everyone at the Golden Dragon are always great. The food is what you would expect from a quality mandarin/chinese american restaurant.
We come here whenever we have that hankering and we are never let down. Very grateful to have a local establishment with such great food and people.

I was looking for something similar to the old Kaylon on Division in Spokane, or the dragon Inn in Spokane Valley before they retired. This place is as close as I can find to the old style food that I miss so much. Our waitress today at lunch was incredibly nice and the have schuline noodles (not sure how to spell it) we had a few combos and everything was good. Soup needed a kick in my opinion and I like my teat stronger. My husband loved his food and I really enjoyed my cashew chicken and almond chicken! Rice was nice with a good touch with the pork on top. Good flavor. The place was very chilly for my families preference and seemed like it needs an update so that is why the 3 stars. Service was wonderful and food was on point.

I adore this restaurant. I grew up in Post Falls and I remember when they opened, they hosted a field trip for Seltice Elementary. The teachers at school told us to eat our lunch because we would only be getting samples, but when we got there, we each got served full entrees, and got to take home the leftovers, it was amazing. It was the first year they opened and the only time they did that. I’m 37 and still come back when I can. Great food, great service. I understand people’s complaints that it has gotten pretty expensive compared to what we started out with, but that is the way the world goes. It’s always a treat to eat there.

I ordered, to go, a Family Meal for 2 that included Wonton Soup, Fried Prawns, Almond Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, House Chow Mein, and Pork Fried Rice.
Being a first-timer at this establishment so I also added Broccoli Beef and 2 Egg Rolls.
After craving American Style Chinese for over two months I decided to give Golden Dragon Post Falls a try. (Didn’t want to drive Downtown).
Let’s start off with the positives-
The Sweet and Sour pork was decent. The Egg Rolls were good, but tiny compared to my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Spokane which is located between Ash & Maple on 3rd street.
The House Chow Mein and Pork Fried Rice were extremely bland and missing that “magical” flavor you’re expecting from those two main dishes. Both were lacking veggies, overcooked to the point of being dark brown almost “dry and crunchy.” I actually laughed when I opened the side of Pork Fried Rice as it was some tiny container that was half the size of a normal side. (I thought they forgot it and this was a side of white rice).
The broccoli and veggies in the Broccoli Beef were bland, overcooked, and mushy. I don’t think I’ve ever had a mushy water chestnut in my life til now. No snap or crunch to the broccoli as well.
The Fried Prawns were tiny shoe strings with too much batter and over-cooked to rubber.
The Wonton Soup was mush as well and under-seasoned.
None of the containers were packed full to the brim like I’m used to.
Overall, I was very disappointed on this meal that I spent $100 on. Should have spent the extra time to drive downtown, pick up amazing Chinese Food that reheats well, and leaves you satisfied and wanting more 3 hours later.
Golden Dragon was not worth my time or money.

I was told this place has the best Chinese food in the area. Well if that is true this area does not know Chinese food. I decided to try their egg rolls as a test. $4.50 for an egg roll is expensive but I thought maybe they are large or really good or both. Wrong, normal length but very skinny. The worst part was no taste. If it wasn’t for the hot mustard I would have tasted nothing. Very high priced for very bland food. Additionally the carpet has not been cleaned in years.

So… I come in and place a large order to go. Then as I am enjoying my Tsingtao (they do not have plum wine) the waitress says I cannot have a shrimp foo young as an appetizer because that dish is made to order. So I order my hot and sour soup, a full order of shrimp egg foo young

I don’t ever post reviews, ever. But this deserved a review. I’d give a zero if able to do so. I grew up here, and used to come here all the time and always loved it. I haven’t been here in years, so I recently ordered to go. Pictures is what I received. Which the General’s chicken was 20 dollars itself. Not abnormal, but it wasn’t even a quarter of the way full. Maybe a quarter full. I called them as I was returning back to work, as I thought they made a mistake (I order Asian type food all the time and have never had it this empty before, the boxes are usually pretty full since your paying so much. The lady answered telling me that they put 14-15 pieces of chicken in there. Sometimes 16. I was baffled, and she really wasn’t sure what to say, so she got someone else on the phone to help, which she wasn’t any help at all. She was almost rude and annoyed that I called. So, in all, they literally charge over a dollar for small pieces of overcooked, rough and hard chicken with the smallest box of white rice possible. My other order was a lunch special, the little pieces of white spread across is chicken. It’s literally soggy…..Watered down cheap processed lunch meat. I didn’t even attempt to eat it. I asked originally for veggie fried rice since I do not eat pork and was told I had to get chicken or pork. There are no veggies in their “fried rice”
I could have done without the nasty pieces of chicken on the rice, honestly. They told me to drive back with the food for a refund, which I was at work so unable to do so. It went in the garbage since it was beyond disgusting and not really edible. This place has gone way downhill, especially for the prices they charge. I am beyond disappointed on not only the food but lack of customer service. I do NOT recommend you spend your money here, unless you want to be highly disappointed.

We have been coming to this restaurant for a really long time. My husband’s dad used to bring him there when he was a kid. The absolute best Chinese food we have ever had! Nothing compares! Absolutely love the family that owns it ❤️
