Why eat turkey when you can an eat at Pelican? Sorry PETA not those pelicans over there! Eggs Benedict for the win! Regular version. The one with chicken is good to, but bring a friend it’s a lot to eat! Before and after photos…

Pelicans is one of my favorite places for breakfast. The food is always great. The service is excellent. Atmosphere cute! The best way to describe the food here I think more like a diner style meal with a more modern twist. Take the eagles nest for instance, it is hash browns, eggs, sausage, and tomatoes and peppers.. that sounds super good all on its own. but what do they do to make it so much better? Poor sausage gravy on top of it I feel this is something you have to try. At least once when you go to pelicans then you would understand

Great spot for breakfast in Seabrook! We know this is our go-to spot for breakfast or lunch when we are close by.
The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is amazing. Tori and Tesla take such good care of their tables and make you feel right at home. Highly recommend!

We stopped in the other day and it’s a fairly typical diner vibe. Friendly welcome and good service. Good portions. We were disappointed in the food. The pancakes were heavy and doughy and the bacon was overcooked. My eggs came out cold. We will probably not stop back in again.

Pelican Grill feels like stepping into a time capsule—in a mostly good way. Think 1960s diner energy with a food-truck level of simplicity. No-frills plates, basic flatware, mason jars for drinks… oddly charming, honestly. It has that comfortable, locals-only feel, and judging by the packed room—families, couples, and what looked like a lot of regulars—it clearly has a loyal following.

For food, I kept it classic: two eggs over easy, hash browns, and bacon. The eggs and hash browns were fine—nothing offensive, nothing memorable. But the bacon… whew. Two thin, pre-cooked strips that barely took up a quarter of a very large plate. Not the end of the world, but definitely disappointing if you come in hungry or expecting a hearty breakfast. You’ll want to order extra, no question.

What really stuck with me, though, was the service. The tattooed women working there? Genuinely cool—refreshing personalities compared to much of what I’ve seen around town. Great vibe, visually and culturally. But emotionally? Ice cold. Stone-faced. Dry. It felt less like hospitality and more like they were tolerating us rather than being welcoming.

And that’s the thing—breakfast food has to work with the service, not fight against it. I left wondering if the food alone was good enough to justify coming back if I re-visited Texas and dealing with that kind of interaction again. For me, probably not.

Which is a shame, because the place itself has character and potential. A little more warmth and a little more bacon would go a long way.

A must stop place if you are in Kemah!!

We had an amazing breakfast experience here!
The Eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, and great flavor all around. The hash browns were crispy and golden, just the way they should be true perfection!

What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond, especially with our little one. They were extra attentive about making sure our baby’s food was at a safe temperature, and the waitress kindly brought us some fresh fruit while we waited for the oatmeal to cool. It’s those thoughtful touches that make all the difference.

A wonderful place for families and anyone who appreciates good food and even better hospitality. Highly recommend!
We can’t wait to be back. We loved every minute of our meal.

The food and service were remarkable. The dining space was limited so if you aren’t able to get there early, there is a wait time. Luckily my family and I beat the rush and were seated without any trouble. The food was delicious and the portions were quite big. There was a public parking lot available to park. I would highly recommend!

Food and service wereq super great! Crystal provided great service and food recommendations. The crab cake Benedict and home fries were amazing and so was the eagles nest my husband ordered. VERY reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food! And we saw the chicken and waffles and pancakes at the next table and they looked great as well

I’m glad I looked at the previous reviews while visiting the area. We ended up going over for breakfast and it was so good. Our server was so attentive especially with our toddler. She even made time to show him the pelican’s they have as decor. We highly recommend it and will be going next time we’re in the area.
