The aviation theme is awesome – think real airplane seats as booth seating, hangar-style decor with props, signs from different airports, and that overall pilot-friendly vibe that makes it feel fun and different from your standard pub.
We went with a party of three and everything hit the spot. Started with some drinks – the beer selection is impressive with rotating taps and solid craft options (we even spotted some favorites like Pipeworks on the list). The food came out hot and flavorful. The Chipotle Herb-Glazed Pork Chop was a standout – juicy, perfectly grilled with that sweet-spicy glaze, served over creamy mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes that were crispy and seasoned just right. Hearty and satisfying!
The Fried Pickle Burger was another winner – loaded with bacon, cheese, and that tangy sauce dripping off, paired with crispy hand-cut fries. Aero Ale House in Loves Park made my mom’s birthday dinner genuinely special — even surprising us with an excellent slice of cheesecake. The airplane décor is fun (my kids loved it), and the food is consistently great. Smash burgers and fries are the standouts, the jalapeño jam version especially. Pretzel sticks were solid, and the Bang Bang tacos/bowl are still one of the best items on the menu.
Their tap list is one of the best in the area — they even had two kinds of BCBS on. Service was top-notch, and it’s a place that works equally well for a drink or a family meal. Aero has always been a go-to lunch spot for me, but the new owners are leveling things up. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to the staff for making the night special!

Good food, on the expensive side though. Great service. Can be loud but thats individuals, not from the design or outlay of the place. Good prices on beer, $5 Modelos. Slight credit card upcharge, so I paid cash. Illinois taxes are awful and causes us to go out less often. Wings were excellent. Was a small charge for sauce because we requested an extra portion, but sauce was generous, we didnt need it. The beer cheese sauce for the pretzels was AMAZING. My date said she would come here for wings often. They were juicy, maybe cooked in a pressure cooker? I didnt ask. Will be back. Nice decor too and a variety of MANY beers and specialty drinks on the electronic menu mounted on the side of the bar. Staff was attentive and happy, even the cooks brought out food so nobody waited and everything was hot. My pretzels were hot and fresh from the oven! ❤️ thanks for the salted Modelo glass, soooo good

I paid $19.75 for a Baja Bowl. The slaw was good and I appreciated the avocados, BUT the fish and rice weren’t even warm, they weren’t seasoned either. Very, very bland. I’m disappointed, this was my first time visiting.

We just happened by this place in our travels while looking for a good lunch spot. We were greeted by a very attentive and friendly server that immediately made us feel welcome. We both had the veggie lettuce wraps and they did not disappoint. They were a bit messy but well worth the challenge. I would definitely order them again. Stop in sometime and enjoy!
