The pot roast used to be good, now it’s like a piece of leather. I asked for the country fried steak to be placed over the rice, instead it was placed in a separate container. When I moved the container to put the steak on, I saw that I was given half a scoop of rice along with the teeny tiny portion of squash casserole on the other meal. I understand that things are going up, but to charge the same amount for this little portion of food is ridiculous. Nothing is seasoned. I don’t expect it to be over seasoned, but the squash casserole is a tasteless mushroom. The lima beans are just there. This is a horrible mess. I tried calling to speak with a manger, but Noone is answering. Update: I spoke with the manager John who gave me an in store credit for my dinners. We went back tonight and got the flounder/mac n cheese/fried okra. My husband got the same country fried steak meal from last night. Everything was much better, but it still doesn’t take away the horrible experience from last night. Treat every customer and every plate the same.

Ordered porkchop with mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra and macaroni and cheese. The okra , mashed potatoes and pork chop tasted okay but the macaroni and cheese wasn’t. I ordered blackberry cobbler which was okay. If your looking to something close to homecooked it’s alright but nothing to get to excited about. The atmosphere was busy and I could sense some frustration from cashier ringing up the orders but she kept it together.

Nice little place I stopped at for breakfast. I got it to go. The waffle itself is good, I just wish it were not as soft. I did appreciate them poking holes in the top of the styrofoam tray. I say give it a try. Corn beef hash gets a 8/10 from me. It was good.

The food is good with reasonable portions and a great price. Server was good, but rather short in patience (we weren’t regulars that knew what we wanted when we walked in). The place does a huge take-out business. When we lived in the area, this was one of our favorite places, but something has changed. We’ll try it again.

Lizard’s Thicket on Forest Drive provided terrible customer service to me when I informed them that they omitted a side dish from my order. The waiter informed the manager about my complaint but he was not moved at all. He never apologized or even offered anything for missing my side order. This was a pickup order late last night so I had to drive there after work the next day to get my side order. I was determined to get it because I was looking forward to my dinner with this side order and rushed there before my class just to pick it up. He really laughed at the mistake and acted like I had no right of wanting it. Well he did a great job of ensuring that I go elsewhere. Please check your order before leaving. I know it was a simple omission but the attitude about it was insulting. Customer service at its best!

Do not eat here unless you have snow ski attire to wear inside. They run the air conditioning every day even in the winter. And I am hot natured, but I have been cold to the core every single time that I have eaten here this winter and my food gets cold. Won’t return. Go to Cracker Barrel. They have a fire

They clam they serve traditional southern, I don’t know about that, as I am a Yankee. What I do know is the food is really good. Don’t walk away hungry and my wife and I ate there for about $30, with a shared dessert . Our second time going to one, but different location. So the food is constant. Will be back.

The food was so good! We were traveling through the area and this was close to where we were staying so we went for dinner. Our waitress was quick and very friendly. We had fried catfish, Mac and cheese and beans. Everything was amazing! The food was so good we went back in the morning for breakfast and had catfish again.

Pretty decent breakfast. The country ham was nice and salty. I ended up taking all the fixing from the plate and built a pretty decent sandwich. Ordered a burger on the side based off previous reviews. The burger was very generic and dry. However the buns they use are quite delicious. The server kept calling me “babe” and “baby” which was really not appreciated, especially given my wife was clearly on FaceTime with me. Maybe it’s a geographical thing for the area I’m not used to but it made for a really uncomfortable experience. The ketchup bottles and table were a little dirty. Nothing crazy I couldn’t wipe down myself.
