We visited New Years Eve. Very busy but lots of brilliant staff on. We were sent the wrong main course however it was handled impeccably. They were very apologetic, took the meal away, explained what had happened and sorted new meals as fast as possible keeping us informed throughout. The food and drink was beautiful and great atmosphere in there. Thanks to all the staff.

Nice place, glad we chose upstairs. Attentive service, reasonable prices, tamarind duck very nice, jungle curry a little too much just like a spicy broth. Chicken satay quite nice. Wine was good, overall a pleasant evening.

We visited midweek during our week in the lakes. Sat downstairs, which was a little small / cramped for a table of 2. Service was excellent, and food came out very fast. Starters were great. Mains were good, with the highlight being the steak based grilled dish.

The Tempura Squid came with only 7 small pieces for £9.50 — definitely not worth the price. The Papaya Salad was underwhelming and tasted quite raw, nothing like the versions I’ve had in Thailand.
What surprised me most was how quickly everything arrived — less than 10 minutes from ordering to table. It made me seriously question whether the food was freshly prepared. If it was pre-made, I could maybe understand the speed — but then at least make it tasty. Sadly, it wasn’t.
The Tom Yum soup was overwhelmingly salty, and the curry lacked depth and flavor — honestly, I can make a better one at home. Overall, it felt like an overpriced, inauthentic experience. Definitely not a place I’d return to.

Last night, my husband and I went to a Thai restaurant in Windermere for my birthday. When we first arrived, it was quite busy, and I honestly felt a little unwelcomed at first. But then a staff member came over, noticed my hijab, and the very first thing she said was, “The chicken is halal, and we cook in separate pans.” I must have been the only Muslim there, so I really appreciated that gesture.
We ended up going for seafood, salmon and prawns, and oh my goodness, the food was out of this world. The flavours were so rich and perfectly balanced, I can’t even put it into words. I had the special noodle soup with crispy noodles, and my husband had the pineapple rice. We also tried their Thai lime drinks, which were so refreshing.
If you ever come to the Lake District, especially Windermere, I would 100% recommend this place. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the little touches, like being mindful about halal, made it even better.

Arrived before 6 and managed to order from the early dinner menu. 2 course for £18.95
Ordered corn fritters and green curry for the set, and a Khao Soi.
Corn fritters had too much batter, green curry was fine. Khao Soi noodles were a tad too soft but overall taste was quite authentic.

The food was amazing there, we ordered green curry, as expected (8/10), one special noodle soup with pork, I have to say this is a must try. Both me and my friends were shocked and couldn’t stop thinking about it after we left the restaurant. If we went back to Lake District, I will defo visit Jintana again.
The service is very good, we were served by a Thai lady, she is very kind and friendly, very helpful giving us recommendations, always come to check on us whenever she passed us.
