Down-to-earth restaurant offering grilled meat & seafood plates, plus rice & dumplings.

Food was delicious; I recommend going at lunch for a discount on the price but do so knowing you forego some of the dinner options. Our server was very informative! The gummy Bear martini was delicious!! 10/10 on taste and presentation!

We came here during lunch while visiting Chattanooga. From the moment we walked in they provided a welcoming experience. My teenage daughter is more familiar with Korean foods so she felt right at home and was really happy with the large variety and the opportunity to try things she hasn’t found before. Our waitress was very good at explaining to me the different things on the menu and their flavor profile. They have a very reasonable lunch special. We got everything; the sushi, bbq and hot pot because we were here for the full experience! It was super clean and efficient. We stayed for a while and didn’t feel rushed at all but most definitely could be a quick in and out lunch experience. Most definitely will come here again whenever we are in the area.

I’ve been to many Korean BBQ restaurants. This one by far the worst. Service was very slow.
There was a loud static coming from the speakers the entire time. They don’t change your grill pan at all and they all have residue on them even when you start. They are almost black. It was obvious that the food there is not fresh and been out for long time. Mayo based sauce on the sauce plate was starting to change colors.
Banchan served is a joke, they put like couple pieces in a bowl and thats it, they also dont renew it. It’s hard to make kimchi go bad, but this place almost did it. It was really bad, it tasted like it was left out for days.

This was the first time we had been to a restaurant like this. It was awesome! Yes, a bit pricey but not really when you consider you also get unlimited sushi and the hot bar which had potstickers, crab legs, and a couple other things plus all the meat and sides you can eat. Wasn’t any more expensive than other nice restaurants. Service was great also!

Food was extremely good. Loved the carousel of sushi, and side items. The kids loved the train that brought food to grill or the fried items. Jillian our server was also amazing very nice and professional. Kept drinks full and was super attentive.

Would not recommend! My family and I were there on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was not busy, fewer than four tables. The service was triable. We waited an excessive amount of time for our server to come to the table. We continually had to ask the front desk to find our server. The meat was disappointing at best. It was fatty and other pieces were so thin that it burned to the hot plate. Everything seems to went down fast.

The owner needs to respond to the comments about the kid with the curly brown hair who sits on his phone doesn’t give waters or drink you ordered cuz he’s busy on his phone for over 30 min brings the wrong food out and doesn’t even bring out everything you ordered doesn’t check on you at all takes 30 min to even come back around which resulted in us staying 2 unwanted miserable hours by him but wanted to get our moneys worth atleast , wouldn’t turn the burners off mind u still with no waters , just keep standing too the side on his phone not walking past or checking on anyone , friend recently went here as well on a seperate occasion and said she had the same horrible experience with the same worker , I’d litterally drive out my way to the other location just because I don’t wanna risk getting this server again and paying $80 for barely anything cuz he never brings anything out ! When I went 2 other times it was actually great this last time made me never wanna go again honestly it was terrible ( also every table around us with other servers seemed to be getting great service which made us super upset we ended up with the one server who didn’t care )

While service was great and the food in general tasted pretty good, it did not hit the same as other KBBQ AYCE restaurants we’ve been to. All the food tasted very Americanized. Some of the beef options were just your basic filet or ribeye steak. While it wasn’t bad, they didn’t have the level of flavor we expected. The ribeye also came out completely uncut, and the scissors we were given unfortunately sucked for cutting it. Our favorite part of the meal were unironically the french fries, which were honestly amazing. All of the meat left a bit to be desired, however while it didn’t taste bad, it just didn’t taste as good as we were expecting. We were on track for giving this place a 4/5, but in our last round of meat, the cooking plate started to fall apart. Flakes of iron were left all over our food which was not appetizing to say the least. This almost made us not want to finish our meal. As a result, we dropped a star. We still think it is worth trying for an introduction to KBBQ, but don’t let this set your expectations for other KBBQ restaurants. The dinner set was overly priced for the quality of the meats. They only serve the lunch sets on Monday to Friday. Weekends are dinner only.

Comparing this to Korean barbecue in larger cities this rate’s much lower. The ventilation near our table was poor. Lots of smoke in the face. Our table was extremely crowded and the waiter did not bus the table, and it was overflowing with plates and dishes. We began to stack dishes on the side ledged. Foot space is about six inches for your feet. And your feet must turn sideways and stay in that same position the whole time you sit there. It was extremely uncomfortable, i could not change direction or move There was no legroom whatsoever. The cooktop on our table kept getting hotter, and we could not adjust our knob to medium and our food kept getting burnt. There were raw parts of the meat and charred black. One waiter told us our table had a bad burner that was finicky, while our server pretended not to notice. If we turn the burner down to medium, the flame would go out. It was frustrating, having to have her come over time and time again, and, light it back up. It got extremely hot and would burn our food.It was a continued cycle throughout the entire crowded table, smoky meal. We were excited to have some diversity in food in this small city, But we’re disappointed. At thirty two dollars a person, a few of the males left the meal, hungry, tired of the smoke and charred raw meat. Others left pleased, but definitely not worth the price or hassle. These places are normally comfortable, spacious, and well ventilated, and the burners worked properly.

A “STRATOSPHERICALLY” PLESANT SURPRISE!
Tonight (Thursday, June 6, 2024) I had dinner at Stone Age Korean BBQ — a restaurant here in Huntsville, Alabama. (It is located in a development that is fairly close to — but south of — the Memorial Parkway and Governor’s Drive intersection.)
This was actually my very first time dining at a Korean restaurant. And, WOW! What a great dining experience.
There were so many different dishes to try — and so many unique twists on familiar dishes — that I can’t go into them all right now. But, almost everything I sampled was really, REALLY good. And, I my meal was an “All-You-Can-Eat” in two hours deal.
As far as meat dishes, I tried both beef and pork this first visit. I’m CRAZY about the BEEF BULGOGI!
If you haven’t already been there, definitely do give it a try.
DELICIOUS!
Many thanks and compliments to the ENTIRE team at Stone Age Korean BBQ on South Parkway, in Huntsville, Alabama.
BRAVO!
