It was an okay experience overall. The portions were very large, definitely enough to share but I felt the quality didn’t quite match the quantity. I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was the thinnest ribeye I’ve ever had. It honestly reminded me more of skirt steak than a ribeye. They served two very thin steaks stacked together, but the meat was tough and chewy, which isn’t what I expect from a ribeye.
The dish was loaded with toppings, but I was hoping for more focus on quality rather than quantity. Maybe I simply ordered the wrong item on the menu.
The house margarita was decent, though mine was served with an orange instead of a lime, which felt more like Texas-style than traditional.
As for the atmosphere, the restaurant is one large open room with very bright lighting. Personally, I would have preferred a more subtle and relaxed atmosphere. It just wasn’t my vibe and I wish they had a bar area you could sit at rather than all tables.

I recently had a wonderful lunch with my daughter. This restaurant was very busy but our waitress was very dedicated to her tables and made everyone feel welcomed and catered to. The drinks are huge! The glasses of water and soda are easily twice the size of any regular restaurant I’ve been to and the food portions are equally as large. Fresh hot chips and salsa placed at the table as soon as we sat down were very much enjoyed too.

Where has this place been all my life? If you’re reading this, you need to try it for yourself!
They started us off with complimentary nachos and sauce, which were amazing. We also ordered the mi patria dip, and it was absolutely delicious. For our main dishes, I got the steak chimichangas and asked for it spicy. It comes with rice and beans, but I skipped the beans. My friend went with the shrimp chimichangas. We both loved our meals so much!
Here’s how I’d rate everything:
Nachos with dip and mi patria dip: 9/10
Steak chimichangas: 10/10
Shrimp chimichangas: 10/10
The atmosphere was so nice, and the service was fantastic!

Mi Patria is soooo much better than the other Mexican food places I’ve tried.
We got the burrito texano and it had shrimp, steak, chicken and chorizo. Their empanadas are PHENOMENAL (chickens better than the beef) and the churros with ice cream was to die for.

Looking for a place to eat during a recent visit to Murfreesboro, we decided on this place because we couldn’t find anyplace else to eat that wasn’t a chain. Boy am I glad we did! I had the shredded beef chimichanga with beans a rice, a steak taco, and we also had a taco salad and a large Cheese dip. Everything was amazing! Our home town has lots of locally popular Mexican restaurants that are just OK, this place blows them out of the water. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot! Fast (meal took around 45 minutes from sit down to leaving, on a Saturday night), friendly, delicious, and affordable (46 dollars for all listed above plus a water and a Diet Coke, before tip). We probably won’t ever be back due to this just being a quick stop on a trip, but if you are in the area and don’t stop here for a meal you are making a mistake!

Friends love this long standing restaurant and I could see why. It was full of joy and laughter at dinner time accompanied by friendly service and appetizing food. To my dismay, my fish tacos were simply too fishy and stale, so smelly that the person sitting next to me found it unpleasant. No seafood for me next time

Food is overpriced with small potions. After two bowls of chips our server took our salsa and chip basket away and never brought more. Just go to Camino Real, much better portion sizes and food.
