My companions and I spent a few hours in the Bronx and chose to dine at CPK because we like the convenience of Atlas Park.

After being seated by the pleasant hostess we were greeted by Ariella, our server, who seemed to perform double duty as the bartender. I was asked if I was a member of their rewards program and gave the server my phone number so she could see if I had any rewards or special offers (I didn’t).

We skipped the appetizers and focused on the lunch menu, which, like most other chain restaurants these days offers a two-item deal. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad and a mushroom/pepperoni/sausage pizza. While we waited for our entrees, the server brought us a small plate of bread and olive oil, which was a nice, unexpected treat.

I enjoyed my meal and felt that the portion and quality were worth the $13.99 price. For dessert, we ordered the butter cake and build-your-own sundae. I thought the butter cake, which comes with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream was quite good, but would’ve been better if the entire cake was as warm as the center. I still recommend it.

I enjoyed my CPK experience and would consider adding it back to my rotation.

CPK does not validate parking, FYI.

Disappointing to say the least, came in on a saturday night with my toddler . And once i sat i immediately recognized that the server was not too enthused about the hosts seating selection. When he came over and introduced hisself it was as if he was in a rush, i ordered an appetizer and wasnt offered a drink once he got back i ordered a drink and my toddlers meal with a drink. He didnt offer or sell anything to me at any point didnt even tell me if the kids meal came with a beverage or not. In fact he wasnt even aware of what was in the drink that i ordered.

Someone brougth the meal out and i never received the drink. I fanned him down to ask about it still never received it. I then asked another staff member to get me the drink and she did . Meanwhile my toddlers meal was already finished. I stacked plates during dining and not once did he remove any of them any time that he came back. It was as if he tried to stay away from our table intentionally. I havent dined at cpk in a while so i was excited to get a full course meal. After the service we received i was no longer interested in spending another dime in an establishment that i wasnt welcomed . I cashed out, still tipped him the bare minimum and went on my merry way. It is worth mentioning that the other staff members were polite ESPECIALLY the individuals at the host stand who were bubbly and being friendly to my toddler both on arrival and departure. Thank you individuals.

I ordered the avocado egg rolls from California Pizza Kitchen, and I’m genuinely confused. How are you supposed to eat egg rolls with sauce cups that are barely half full? One dip and it’s gone. That doesn’t make any sense. If the sauce is part of the dish, it should actually be enough to eat the dish. For the price, this feels careless and disappointing. Definitely not the experience I expect.

I keep giving you a chance but the food is terrible and the service as well. I waited approximately 40min for a salad and I would have kept waiting had I not asked another server where is my salad. Needless to say it was cold (the steak and home fries), soggy and just terrible. Mac and cheese also real thin on the cheese. I mean how can you have such poor cheap meal such as Mac and cheese. Eww. I’m done with CA pizza. No wonder it was empty vs Chillys 45min wait.

Last Saturday, we visited California Kitchen and had a wonderful dining experience. The ambiance was inviting and lively, perfect for a casual outing. Leo, our waiter, was exceptionally attentive and polite, ensuring our needs were met promptly and courteously.
The menu offered a delightful variety of California-inspired dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients. We ordered multiple dishes. Overall, California Kitchen provided a fantastic combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a warm atmosphere, and we look forward to returning soon!!

Grilled chicken from ceasar salad is good. The lettuce used in the salad is kinda not fresh anymore you see the color from the ends of it. Liked the zucchini pasta. Not too salty. We ordered club pizza. Tastes like a homemade avocado bacon sandwich.

I had a fantastic experience at California Pizza! The customer service was truly excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional from the moment I walked in. My order was taken promptly and served without delay, which I really appreciated. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, clearly made with quality ingredients. The entire establishment was spotless, with a clean and welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others!

I rarely leave negative reviews because I work in the hospitality and service industry myself, and I fully understand the impact a bad review can have on a business. However, after last night’s experience at California Pizza Kitchen – Atlas Mall, staying silent would be irresponsible.

I visited on February 27, 2026, at approximately 9:00 PM with my family, and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish.

We waited 30 minutes just to have our order taken, followed by another 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, the problems only escalated once the food finally came out.

My son’s burger was specifically ordered without vegetables, yet it arrived 44 minutes later, cold and completely covered in lettuce. What is most concerning is that neither the server nor the kitchen manager noticed an error that was visually obvious. This reflects a serious lack of quality control and attention to detail.

My salad, advertised with steak cuts, contained only four tiny pieces of meat, which is far from what any reasonable guest would expect. Meanwhile, my other son’s chicken Alfredo pasta arrived with virtually no Alfredo sauce at all, turning what should have been a simple dish into a dry and disappointing plate.

While the restaurant itself was not dirty, it was visibly neglected and poorly maintained, giving the impression of operational disorganization rather than normal peak-hour pressure. The General Manager can easily verify everything described here by reviewing the security cameras from that evening.

I have no interest in wasting more time listening to explanations or excuses for what was, frankly, a complete operational failure.

It is genuinely disappointing because the location itself has great potential. With proper management, accountability, and attention to execution, this could be a strong restaurant. Right now, however, it feels like the team is putting significant effort into doing everything the wrong way.

I hope leadership takes this feedback seriously and implements meaningful changes, because guests deserve far better than what we experienced.

The service here is seriously lacking. The hostess that sat me had me waiting about 15 mins at the host stand before she returned to greet me. She informed me that a table for 3 would be a 5 min wait. There were plenty of tables open as the restaurant was not busy. One booth was dirty when I arrived. I understand staffing accordingly to business trends & monitoring your labor but I didn’t see a single busser. She sat a few parties instantly that arrived after me. She then begins to bus the table informing me that she’ll bus it for us to sit. That hostess moved as if she was traveling in slow motion. No sense of urgency. She took one plate at a time. 5 mins turned into 20 mins. During my wait, I read their board with their promotions. One states kids eat free Monday through Thursday from 6pm-7pm. Observing how empty the restaurant was & how the hostess took her sweet time walking about, it made me feel like she was trying to delay seating me to avoid honoring the promotion. This may not be the case but it certainly felt that way because I got sat at 7:04 & my nephews meal was on our bill. The server was cool. She was busy but she was ok. The food was good, no complaints there but the hostess sets the tone for the visit & I honestly would’ve stood at Chili’s despite having an hour wait had I known that my experience with CPK would’ve been lackluster from start to finish. I don’t see myself returning due to the lack of service. Management didn’t seem to manage to floor efficiently in my opinion. I, myself, manage a high volume restaurant in Times Square so I’m hoping management makes some improvement on the quality of the service.

Food was delicious and fresh. With drinks, some of the people in my group were served alcoholic beverages. Two of the three drinks were on the weaker side, but the third was fine.

The service was great, we were seated in Jenny’s section and she was very hospitable.

As for the atmosphere, there was a consistent, loud high pitched sound that was in the background during out evening visit, it would be a deal breaker for visiting again.
