Overall it was a nice meal! The cheeseburger egg roll was my absolute favorite followed by the duck bao buns ! The tuna nachos were also decent. Pasta was a little bit too al dente but I took the rest to go and it was actually delicious the next day! As far as the French onion burger, it was decent as well. Our waitress was superb and the bar itself has a nice vibe. Would definitely come back again!

I sat at the bar during an early afternoon on a Sunday to have some solo time reading my book before heading to the airport!

I LOVED the French Onion soup. It was truly a standout in comparison to other French Onion soups I’ve had. The broccolini was very good! My drink was good!

My bartender was fine, but was hard to get ahold of and did not seem to be too interested in getting to me, despite the fact that I was one of two people at the long bar, and there were only a few tables who were seated. It wasn’t crowded, so this did surprise me a bit, but not the end of the world!

The ambience was simple and typical of what you expect from pubs, but still lovely! I really loved the building and its vibe! It managed to be cozy, as well as spacious and tidy! I liked it!

Overall, I’ll probably try a new place when I’m next in town rather than return, but I’m also glad I stopped in to The Elgin!

Great experience. The food was delicious, the Christmas decorations were brill. Very relaxed atmosphere and the service was excellent. The waiters were terrifically attentive. The portion sizes were generous. A starter with the mains left us stuffed. The fish and chips had an interesting chili tartar sauce and well worth it. The French onion burger was decedent and delicious.

Went with my boyfriend on a Saturday night on a whim since we were in the area .
The inside is really nice if you like old looking bars . The restaurant is two levels, with bars on each floor which you can sit at (and I’m not sure but it seems like they do prefer to offer that to parties of two). They do have a coat rack on the second floor (couldn’t note one on the first since just passed by). The food was good. I really liked their fries that came with the burger it was excellent. I had their expresó martini was fine. We got there around 4pm and it was full but not packed within a few minutes it definitely picked up. It does look like they had outdoor seating but not sure how many people are willing to sit outside now that it’s cold. Definitely a place to check out if you’re looking for a place to eat are in the area .

Awesome historic location and amazing staff. Our waiter was top notch and the food was incredible! The Wild Boar Chili, NY Strip, Rigatoni, pizza, Mac & cheese…all excellent. Also try the Golden Sunset (if you like mezcal) or the Hamilton (for gin lovers).

Authentic British like pub in the heart of Manhattan. It’s really close to the radio city music Hall, food is fast and Ok/good and Service is friendly. The pub is really loud, especially in the front, in the back you can sit down and enjoy your meal at the table, there it is quieter.

Tried the burgers and pizza here and everything was solid. The burger was juicy, the pizza was fresh, and the flavors were on point. The decor was nice and gave the place a good vibe. Overall, a chill spot and worth coming back to.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! The wait staff was friendly and accommodating, the whole place was nicely decorated for the Christmas holiday, and the atmosphere was very cool. Prices weren’t bad for NYC either. Highly recommend, definitely worth a visit!

We came on a snow storm day and it was the perfect escape from the cold! The portion size was huge and the quality was soo good.
Highly recommend the tuna poke nachos and the french onion burger (it was so rich the patty was grilled perfectly).
For drinks and dessert, we recommend the passion spritz (mocktail) and the hazelnut-filled churros!
Overall, the ambiance was really nice and the service was amazing. Great for dates, with friends or family! We will definitely be back to try more of their drinks and food.

We went to the Elgin on a recommendation from the bar tender at the Hard Rock Hotel to watch the baseball and it didn’t disappoint.

The bourbon selection is fantastic and I had Peg Leg Porker, a Tennessee whiskey that we had when we went for dinner at the same named BBQ joint the other year, just brilliant.

The cocktails were well done too but that wasn’t the best part.

We met the manager and had a wonderful discussion about how whiskeys ans bourbons differ around the country, he was very kind enough to give us samples on the house, and had a great time and a great conversation.

If you’re looking for a bar in Manhattan that is relaxed, is well stocked and has excellent staff, then The Elgin is the place to go.
