La Locanda del Molo, a due passi dall’Acquario di Genova. Il nostro locale ha un’impronta medioevale: pietre a vista, archi in cotto e un’atmosfera antica. Dietro i fuochi ci sono io, lo chef Matteo Correale, per proporti un’ampia gamma di pasta fresca artigianale e ottime grigliate di pesce e di carne, con un menù improntato al rispetto delle tipiche tradizioni della cucina ligure, tra mandilli al pesto, sugo di noci e stoccafisso accomodato. Se sei un buongustaio, qui avrai la possibilità e il piacere di scegliere tra una ventina di piatti, fra primi e secondi, e per ogni portata ti suggeriamo l’abbinamento ad uno specifico vino in bicchiere, da noi accuratamente selezionato, per esaltare le caratteristiche di ogni piatto.

Amazing food and service but the location is a bit peculiar, as you’re under a highway overpass. The taste makes it up though, both pizzas and pasta were amazing! Highly recommend the house wine too

If you’re looking for a taste of genuine Genovese cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. Everything was delicious though the mandrilli al pesto is a classic if you’re struggling to decide — if it’s your first visit to Genova, a non-negotiable to try. Very family friendly (not super quiet if you’re looking for a romantic spot for date night) and prices fair.

We had a terrible experience here — not just once, but twice. Last week we came and were also denied a place outside because they claimed it might rain, even though the forecast only predicted rain two hours later. In the end, it never even rained that evening. Already then, we didn’t feel welcome.
Today we gave the restaurant another chance, arriving at 8:40 PM. There was a completely empty table for four outside. We were a group of five and simply asked to sit there with one extra person joining. The table was free, nobody else was waiting, yet we were rudely denied again. The staff was extremely unfriendly, didn’t take us seriously at all, and told us to go inside instead — even though it was uncomfortably hot inside.
Two visits, same story: unwelcoming, rude service and zero flexibility. Absolutely unacceptable. Definitely not recommended.

What a spectacular place to eat seafood and local cuisine. Found out about this place through relatives and being happy to dine here every now and then when I visit Genova. If you happen to know the dates when you are staying place a reservation in advance. Finding a table to eat here is not an easy task. Worth it every penny. Try the tiramisù with pistachios!

I was trying to find a good restaurant for lunch and luckily found this restaurant. I had the Mandilli Al pesto which was really good and Fritto di Calamari which was also good. Prices were reasonable and the service was good.
