Low Standards and Poor Customer Service
Today I picked up a meal for someone who has been unwell and chicken livers are this person’s favorite meal. I was warned that the last time chicken livers were ordered with gravy, the gravy was forgotten from the order. Knowing how much of a cheering up this person needs, I go to pick up the order and pay. This is not the first time I’ve done this for this person. I’ve done this on multiple occasions. I’ve also had to make gravy to add to the chicken livers before because the gravy wasn’t sufficient or was forgotten. Because I’ve been burned before, this time I checked the box. I look in the box and ask, “ Is this usually the amount of gravy that comes with an order?” ( I know, gravy…. Is this really this girl’s hill? Well when a restaurant fixes dry chicken livers, gravy is most definitely needed.) The host barely even looks in the box (she might not have even looked). And gives an uninterested answer. I took it as, “yes, please just pay and go.” I pay. And then I ask about the cornbread that was burnt to a crisp. “Is this usual?” She assures me yes. The cornbread comes black as night and burned up on the edges. I should have said thanks, no thanks on account of the host’s arrogant attitude. But I took my order and left, but before that, I caught the host rolling her eyes in the mirror with a nasty look on her face. I’ll leave my one-star review and a warning. If you’re looking for quality, “I take pride in my work food”, or friendly and caring customer service, you won’t find it here. To add insult to injury, I found a golden piece of corn bread on their Facebook page. The host basically said, take this burnt up mess and go. They’d rather lose a customer than provide basic customer service.

This place has become a go to restaurant when we travel down from Virginia. Located in a small shopping center, your first impression when you step inside is how charming and clean it is and how soothing the warm lighting is as well. Then menu is expansive with great selections of home cooking, burgers, sandwiches, wraps, great salads and soups, and even some delicious Greek options. Food portions are generous and delicious and priced well. Absolutely nothing not to love here! Hopefully my next visit I’ll try a dessert.

I always love coming to this small, quaint restaurant. My burger today was top notch and cooked to perfection. I did order a to-go plate today but I do go inside to eat on occasion as well. The staff are ALWAYS so kind and professional. I feel the prices are definitely on point. This is a great environment for a single patron for dining or a family of patrons! I’d highly recommend anyone to give this restaurant a try!

This is an excellent family restaurant. You’ll find delicious, fresh food at a great price. The atmosphere is great, and the service is quite good. Consider coming for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. You’ll love it. We’ve tried burgers, rib-eye, country-style barbecue, and flounder fish—everything is delicious.

We had breakfast here a month ago and it was delicious. My wife enjoyed her French toast, scrambled eggs and the grits were fantastic. I had a delicious western omelet. Will come back soon.

Today was the second time I have been there to eat the early bird. Special breakfast. Consist of two eggs, two pancakes, two pieces of bacon and grits. First time I went it was advertised on their outside Marquee for only $4.99. this was about 3 weeks ago. I ate and when I went to pay the bill it was $6.99 the price it was on the menu and I was told that the price outside was wrong and needed to be changed. I thought to myself okay anybody can make a mistake fine. So I paid and left went back today. The early bird special had went up to $5.99 so I went and ordered early bird special. Got my bill to pay. It was 6.99 again, same as on the menu. I again questioned the price and was told oh the Marquee outside was wrong and the prices on the menu is the right prices. I informed the waitress that I just was in here 3 weeks ago and had the same thing happen and was told the exact same thing. I think this is terrible, bad ethics and just the principal not so much the money that someone can charge more than they advertise. I probably will not go back to this restaurant just on count of this. I think this is very unscrupulous and just plain fraud.
Okay I have went back. Give him a second chance, the third chance and the fourth chance and they have all been positive. They do have their sign up to date incorrect. Their food is great. Prices are great. I will go back. Thank you oakcrest for fixing your problems

Grilled Chicken was tasty but by the time I got it home it was soaked in the pinto bean juice, just wish they had put pints in separate bowls/cups for to go.

We went for a late breakfast.
Reasonably priced, very relaxed decor. Staff was friendly & attentive and the food was all delicious. Nothing fancy, but good value for the money.

Second time that I’ve had dinner here. The food is ok. Not good or bad. The staff is friendly, just not enough of it. The wait time for food both times I was there was longer than I would have liked.

Small town local diner vibe in the big city of Greensboro. Great service and the food was very good, always crowded, always a good sign.
