I’ve been here a handful of times and feel like the food isn’t always consistent. I don’t like the regular burger much, sometimes it’s too salty and sometimes it’s overcooked. However, I tried the black bean burger recently and it was very good!! Their French fries are also very yummy. Very cool scene if you like dark, more intimate bar settings. Service is good but not “in your face” kinda good. Locals go here a lot and you get that sense when you’re there.

Been coming here forever with my lady. Know full well it’s a dive bar but figured on a Sunday afternoon with no Pistons or Wings we’d be cool dropping in with our kids since the atmosphere is great and the food is good. Dude behind the bar this afternoon was awful. Bothered by any one and everyone at all steps, from ordering to asking for a couple extra plates, to sliding in between us while we’re getting the kids coats on, as if it was a rush to flip the table with plenty of open spots around the bar. I get we went to a dive bar, but damn.

Making burgers and salads and everything else with NO GLOVES! I don’t care how clean you think your kitchen/bar is

I go to Bronx relatively often for what my buddies and I consider to be the best burger in Detroit, never had a bad experience until last night.

The bartender, who I don’t recall ever seeing before and I assume is new, was so unbelievably rude that it made the 4 of us, grown men in our 30s, so uncomfortable that we cashed out and left immediately after placing our order.

He was rude, visibly annoyed if anybody asked for anything, told 2 girls sitting near us “no” when they asked if they could add more food to their order and when my buddy asked what they had on draft, he replied “beer” and walked away.

We go their primarily for the burgers and I don’t really care if the customer service is exceptional but the man working last night was so rude, unfriendly and seemingly hostile towards customers that it felt uncomfortable to be there.

We walked to a nearby bar after finishing our food and ordered a few more drinks, something we would have done at Bronx otherwise.

Managers/owners, if you read these reviews, if business starts going down, the guy you had working last night at the bar is likely the cause. If it had been my 1st time there last night, I’d have never went back.

*Since it doesn’t appear that I can reply to the owner’s comment, I am editing the review, I was there on Saturday 2/21 at around 6pm, he was the African American man in the Harley Davidson shirt

Me and my bestie were having a great night strolling through midtown and stumbled upon this spot. I’m so glad we did because the burger was Amazing!!!! The patty was flavorful and they made sure to dress the burger appropriately, ketchup, onions, lettuce and tomato a d they weren’t cheap. So delicious

Went for the burger and am happy to say it’s still one of the best in Metro-Detroit.

Large order of onion rings is really really large (4 people) lol the small one is big enough.

I like seeing the same faces after all these years regardless of how Cass has changed.

Upscale neighborhood dive bar in midtown. Extremely popular with locals and college crowd. The food is excellent. Vibe is best in summer with the patio open. The bartender always seems grumpy but that’s part of the charm

Excellent black bean burger, made in house, piles of fresh veggie garnish – lettuce, tomato, avocado, pickles. Came in alone on a random Sunday afternoon and felt totally fine. No weird vibes – was actually one of three solo females sitting at the bar. Perfect neighborhood hangout.

Don’t sleep on the food here. Very very clean, home cooked, quality ingredients. We will be coming back again soon. Definitely underrated here on google.
The bar has a great welcoming staff and a divey vibe which we appreciate. Again, still very clean.
See you soon!
