Omg, the aroma when I walked in here was incredible- seriously, freshly baked bread and coffee? Fun to watch the guys in the window slicing the bread. Hands down this is the most authentic “bakery” in Rutland- not just another donut shop (but they do sell them!).

Dell Veneri Bakery is a no-frills, truly local bakery that’s clearly loved by its community. There’s nothing flashy here — just solid, honest baking and a welcoming, low-key atmosphere.
For a small shop, the variety is surprisingly broad: sweet pastries, donuts, cookies, fresh bread, and even quiche — all made in-house. It’s the kind of place that’s genuinely convenient because it covers so much ground without compromising on quality.
A great local stop, whether you’re craving something sweet or something savory.

We bought pies a long time ago and they were terrible. We bought pies yesterday and WOW, amazing! The cherry pie was just like my grams. The strawberry rhubarb was great too. We will continue to buy and recommend. Thank you. Hope you all had a great holiday.

I went in and got a few doughnuts. They were all delicious, light and fluffy.
The owner and his daughter were extremely friendly and made me feel very welcomed.
The bakery was full of many wonderful items and ended up getting a bear claw with a pizza which was as good as the doughnuts!
Highly recommended!

Best donuts in the Rutland area. Blows Dunkin out of the water. Picked up two dozen for my coworkers and got smiles all around. Wonderful quality, kind and helpful staff, the only name you need to know for quality baked goods in the greater Rutland area!

I had no idea this place existed until today! When you walk in it smells perfect – sugar sweet bakery smells. I had a great chocolate frosted donut. Hope to come back here for the quiche and cookies.

We ordered a birthday cake for some friends who were having a large gathering at the fairgrounds nearby. We live in Florida and were not able to attend but the people at Dell Veneri Bakery made it so easy!
The decorative writing on the cake was top notch but the best comment ever was when we saw our friends last night after they returned from VT and heard the same thing from several people. “The cake tasted like my grandmother made it.”
Now, if that’s not the greatest compliment I don’t know what it is.
Thank you for being so kind and so phenomenal at your craft.
Sincerely, Donna Jack

The best donuts I’ve had thus far. I enjoyed their Boston Cream donut. The custard filling was delicious and not “over the top” sweet. The coffee was robust. Made for a fantastic mid morning snack!

Heard this place had good donuts. I got two donuts I traditionally dislike, Boston cream and a jelly donut. They both transcended the genre, a mix of sweet and savory, perfect dough, great fillings. It’s slightly out of the way but worth the 4 block detour, or a 10 mile detour. It’s NOT: fancy, hip, well merchandised. But who the heck cares when the donuts are this good?

Whenever I am in Rutland, I always try and get donuts at this Bakery. Both people that run the place are always nice. The donuts are out of this world, especially the plain, and they even give you the donut hole which is fried into the donut. They have good maple cream filling and many different filled donuts.
