What a gem of an authentic French restaurant. This place is small but reaches high with its food. Their french onion soup was refreshing instead of salty. Their main steak tartare & scallops dishes were phenomenal! Lastly they have great daily specials and desserts.
Highly recommend this restaurant while in Paris!
Seating was plentiful, but I would say that if you come in a group of more than 4 people, you may have trouble finding seats as most tables had room for four chairs. Alternatively, you’d have to combine tables which may or may not be possible depending on how vacant the rest of the seats are. There was also outdoor dining space. Restrooms are located below ground.
The restaurant was well organized and service was relatively fast. Props to the restaurant owner for this one — A group of new customers came by looking for a spot in the restaurant, but it was packed that day and all the seats were taken. We were almost done eating and offered to leave so they could sit, but the owner insisted that we stay to enjoy the rest of our meal. Excellent hospitality that shows they care for the wellbeing and satisfaction of their customers.
Thanks for making my evening in Paris memorable!
Decadent food, fast and friendly service.
Escargot was divine,
Caesar salad was super unique and loaded with yummy chicken,
Braised beef was deeply satisfying and savory.
My partner and I shared all of the above plus two glasses of wine for about 75 Euro total.
Good sized portions,
And the food is so good it feels like it could easily be pricier.
The place is small, so you’ll be sitting close to strangers… but the vibes are top notch thanks to the friendly owners/staff.
My girl and I are so glad we chose this place for our first meal in Paris.
There were some locals there too so I know it’s not some tourist trap.
Real deal fo sho.
Staff are friendly. Kitchen is highly efficient. Clean and cozy atmosphere.
Definitely a restaurant I want to go back again.
Nonetheless, service was very good. On the small side for the main dining rom with WCs clean and on the lower level. Heard of this as a budget buy but not so much. We would still return.
The food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the braised beef fondant in red wine sauce, bourguignon style, served with bacon, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. The beef was incredibly tender and full of flavor. Honestly one of the best dishes we had during our trip. I ordered the steak tartare and it was also very good.
The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes, the quality of the food, and the overall experience. You really feel like you’re getting great value.
We enjoyed it so much that we actually wanted to come back again on Sunday, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed. Still, now we know this is definitely a place we will return to the next time we’re in Paris.
