Great food, service and vibes. Love the heated back tiki bar that’s dog-friendly. Only dog-friendly spot in downtown Plymouth. New owners Jim and Kathy have done a great job of upgrading the place while still staying true to the bar’s original roots. Highly recommend and check it out!

I celebrated my birthday last night here. We had dinner followed by a comedy show. The comedy show was in a back room which was very cold. The owner was super friendly and did his best to warm it up in there. The comedians were really funny. The food was served semi cold, which was disappointing, but it was still a very fun night. They had the back room decorated really cute and there weren’t too many people there which was nice. Tickets were $10 each, which was much cheaper than other comedy shows. Highly recommend

I planned on going here for lunch after we went to bank around the corner. However, we ended up not going because a employee was sitting out front yelling at people who parked in the parking lot. When we told her we planned on coming in after we got money she told us we still couldn’t park there and waved us off.
I understand they have issues with people parking there for the festival but you just lost customers because of her inability to listen.
This place may have good food but I was immediately turned off before I got to the door.

Went for lunch. First time there. Got the chicken strips and potato skins. The strips were fantastic and I recommend them! The potato skins were pretty good as well. Service was very attentive. Will go back eventually for some of the other menu items.

Another lunch visit. Got the chicken strips and fries. Both were good, as usual. The cole slaw was a little vinegary but overall very good. The new waitress, Kelly P., is fantastic. Very attentive and FAST. The place was busy, but she was able to handle it. And she’s been on the job for about 2 weeks. Stella’s is lucky to have someone of this caliber working for them.

Split a smash burger, got two sliders instead. Asked about it, that’s how they split them, apparently. No lettuce, onion, tomato, had to ask. I’m being picky here, service was pretty good, food was better than good, and the janky tiki bar out back was pretty fun.

Payton is hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. She’s friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive without being overbearing. She made sure everything at our table was perfect and did it all with a great attitude and a smile. You can tell she really cares about her job and her guests. If you’re lucky enough to get Payton as your server, you’re in for a great experience!

I got one of the Labor Day specials…A Tavern cheese burger & fries!! It was pretty good and only $6!! Charbroil flavor!!! And draft beer only $3!! Inside seating and a very small outside patio seating that can only accommodate 5 or 6 people. Stella’s Black Dog Tavern is a hidden gem in Plymouth.

Burger was good, macaroni was very soupy but not a bad flavor once I fished a noodle out. Server was kind. Mozzarella sticks are super good, seasoned and crunchy shell to them. We also got a pretzel appetizer that came with a delicious queso.

I came here on 2/10/24 with a group of friends for dinner and a comedy show. We arrived at 6pm to eat before the show began at 7:30pm. Many of us did not receive our food until right before or after the show had already began…
My mom ordered a personal “pizza” which she said tased like a tortilla shell with sauce and cheese (and looked disgusting). Then, later that night, we realize the cup that I was served my drink in, was BEYOND dirty!! I wanted to throw up when I saw what I had been drinking from all night… Both of my pop and my mom’s tasted watered down. Another lady’s $15 shrimp and fries basket had 6 small shrimp and maybe a handful of fries ? It was disappointing to say the least. Oh, and they only had, might as well say 1.5 waitresses, serving our group of like 30.? The one stood at the front of the room most of the night looking scared and unsure of what to do. Most of the comics we saw that night were great, but we would never make the 45-minute drive back out for this place.. very disappointing first experience. (Btw.. large parties get charged 22% for gratituity)
